Fleckney Fox Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 sounds good and could do a job but i dont think he's rob "sort" of player
dandannieldanok Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 sounds good and could do a job but i dont think he's rob "sort" of player Why do you say that? I think any signing that will strengthen our midfield will help tremendously!
Head Honcho Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 So you expect a player with 12 senior games to his name to come to Leicester and sort our midfield out, which by the way isn't half as bad as most people are making out! I suppose the fact that he's Brazilian is enough for you is it?

filbertway Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 That denilson is supposed to be a good player. How many senior games had wesolowski played, when he sorted out our midfield?
Head Honcho Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 and therefore we should never forget that Kleberson played in a world cup final!!! Exactly! 16 games in two years at Manchester Utd.

Johnson cannot pass, Hughes can rarely make a killer pass or get stuck in enough, Wesolowski is always injured and Williams seems to have fallen out of favour. If this guy is worth £3.4million, which I am sure he is if Arsene Wenger bought him, he will certainly be good enough Leicester. Another point is that people on this forum call Wesolowski amazing when he has made only half the amount of starts compared to this guy.
steve_wilson101 Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 Sounds very good to me. Bet he ends up at Derby or Sunderland though
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 September 2006 Posted 2 September 2006 He won't be coming to us though, if you read it carefully it says he'll be going to a smaller club than Arsenal.

Porter is probably our best creative midfiield player but if he moves into the middle we haven't got a genuine left winger. Much rests on whether Weso can get properly fit. You can never be sure of an unseen player but Wenger is a bloody good judge and not one to pay £3.4m for nothing. However, I'm not sure we'd get anyone from Arsenal after our failure to get anything out of Smith.

I don't think there's a manager born who doesn't make mistakes - or indeed anyone in business of buying and selling anyone or anything - although I am sure Mourinho might make acase.

AGAIN I think Wenger learned everything he needed to know about Ryan Smith after his spell at Leicester by getting rid at the first opportunity it was obvious he had seen enough of him as well!!!

Usually these days a players worth isn't a very good guide as to his talent! It's normally the amount you have to pay to stop a rival team signing him. Has it ever occured to you why Weso is injured all the time? My theory is that although talented he's not quite ready physically for the rough and tumble of this division which as I've said before in my opinion is the toughest in the world.

Well based on that theory he's not going to be suitable for any level of football considering what started this bad spell of injuries was a broken leg in a friendly.

My theory is that although talented he's not quite ready physically for the rough and tumble of this division which as I've said before in my opinion is the toughest in the world. You could say Hughes has been injured for ages. Stearman carried an injury at the end of last season and Tiatto is forever getting injured as argument for the toughness of the League rather than the age/readiness of the players involved. However it could also be that you have a point and that a combination of his age/size, the fact that he plays in the furnace of central midfield and his aggressive, uncompromising style means he will be more vulnerable to getting injured than wide players. Perhaps he will adjust his style with experience and become more selective with his tackling. I'd also say you overestimate the demands of the Championship. Teams do tend to crowd the space (you can stop that straight away by keeping your own width) but I don't think they're especially fast or tough. In fact I doubt any older fan would describe the Championship as tough because players get so much protection nowadays and there are endless stoppages, plus the 15 minute break to ensure players get plenty of recovery time if they've been more involved/under pressure than usual.. That's not to say there aren't some fast and combative matches. But teams like Ipswich and Southend have hardly looked intimidating and last season's outfits were all seemed fairly ordinary physically, apart from Reading who seemed both strong and fairly fast.

Somebody must have forgot to tell Balde that it was a friendly. If I remember correctly he was looking for retribution after being unhappy about an earlier challenge against him.
The People's Hero Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Don't think we'll be getting any more of Arsenal's youngsters after the Ryan Smith thing which didn't go all that well.
AyewJoking Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Who needs Denilson when we've got Johnson?
