Daggers Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 You have to be a hero with a name like that. I hope he can keep this run of performances going ~ it's high time we had someone to wax lyrical about
gosfox Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 The lad has taken his chance well.....keep it up!!!
Maybes Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Played very well today some top quality saves. Definately earned his place in goal, long may it continue
Cat Burger Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Who's more scary? Comic book guy with gun, or our Logan complete with Albino complexion.
Cat Burger Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 True of False? If he wasn't an Albino he wouldn't be as good in goal...
Daggers Posted 30 September 2006 Author Posted 30 September 2006 Who's more scary? Comic book guy with gun, or our Logan complete with Albino complexion. I think the answer is 'your post'
Jonbluefox9 Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 The great thing about Logan is that he's still got a lot to learn but can still put in performances like the one at Birmingham yesterday. For him to keep on developing, he's got to be kept in the side even if he makes the odd mistake because that's how he's going to learn and improve his game. He's the first 'keeper to have come through the Academy and look like he could be good enough to be our first choice for a fair while. That's partly down to the fact that in the past we've been able to sign very good 'keepers and if we were in the Premiership, Logan may well have been let go but he's making the most of the situation that we've got two 'keepers who have similar strengths and weaknesses and that we're a bottom half Championship side at present. Logan will have already learned a lot during his time with us. He's worked with some very good 'keepers like Tim Flowers and Ian Walker and the experienced Kevin Pressman I just hope Mike Stowell can help bring his game on another level.
SystonFox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 du du du du conrad logan! logan give us a wave, logan logan give us a wave! albino albino albinoooo, albino albino albinoooooooooo! albino!!!!! irelands number 1, irelands irelands number 1!!!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Agreed JBF. Unless he has a horrendous run of bad form, he should be our #1 for the foreseeable future allowing for one or two odd mistakes which we saw relatively regularly from Douglas anyway. I thought it was a shame The Championship on ITV didn't show one or two of his wonder saves this morning.
SystonFox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 does anyone know the news of worlds team of the week? mcauley was in it last week he should definetly be in this wk, along with logan!
Milky Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 i've been campaigning for logan for some time now. Along the way a got sniggers and chuckles at the suggestion (not on here i must say), and finally he's had his chance and he's taking it with style. Keep up the good work!

They are every bit as good given the opportunity.
SystonFox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 im starting the official Conrad Logan fan club, whos with me?
Thracian Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 im starting the official Conrad Logan fan club, whos with me? He seems a bit of a hcaracter too - something the team needs. But are you still going to run it when he drops a brick?.
SystonFox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 He seems a bit of a hcaracter too - something the team needs. But are you still going to run it when he drops a brick?. im quite confident he wont, he has looked very solid in the last 2 league games and made some important saves i dont think henderson would have made some of those saves yesterday. and against colchester he got down to a low shot which was sneaking in the bottom corner when they were attacking the kop, preston scored a similair goal last season (their equaliser) infront of the kop and henderson really should have got down to it. this one was almost identical and conrad got down. only problem is he didnt wave when we chanted for him too.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 I wish the fans showed the same understanding for Stearman, Weso and Porter. They are every bit as good given the opportunity. They do for Porter and Weso. Stearman became an established player and was rightly dropped for a series of below-par performances. Personally I would bring him back and move Kenton to left-back but I can't blame Kelly for sticking with the same back four as we have been reasonably good defensively.
Daggers Posted 1 October 2006 Author Posted 1 October 2006 im quite confident he wont, he has looked very solid in the last 2 league games and made some important saves ...but he was lucky to be on the pitch long enough to make the saves, based on the decision of a very dodgy ref by all accounts. That said, I think he's had a very solid couple of games without looking nervous or out of place. Long may it continue

If refs did their jobs properly I reckon he'd have been suspended by now!! Not trying to take anything away from the lad though, he looks solid and is doing very well in place of Hendo. If he can continue and NOT get himself suspended we've got a great keeper

Long may it continue it was never a red due to the fact we had covering defenders and he did go for the ball to be honest.
davieG Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Am I the only one who finds this Albino reference distasteful?
Daggers Posted 1 October 2006 Author Posted 1 October 2006 Am I the only one who finds this Albino reference distasteful? It pisses me off for too.
The People's Hero Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Am I the only one who finds this Albino reference distasteful? No, you're not alone there. I'm just trying to keep my head down a bit so that those 'holier-than-I' don't have an excuse to get on their high horses and call me a moaner.
