Thracian Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Even in these desperate days I usually start warming up for the weekend about now - but every International break day I feel the same. Like I've been robbed. Perhaps I'll go and watch the City old boys at Mansfield. Or the youth team if they're playing. They was far more entertaining than the Colchester first team match which followed last time, by a distance.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Youth team are playing at 11am at home tomorrow I believe.

Louise Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 So really, it should be a more exciting weekend than when the first team are playing.. U-18s vs Villa: http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~907986,00.html

U-18s vs Villa: http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~907986,00.html Exactly what I was just thinking on reflection. And I wouldn't be surprised if there's a decent crowd there. Plenty turned up for the Cardiff game but Villa should be a bigger draw, especially with the first team being disengaged.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 I wish I could go. Been meaning to get to an academy game for ages now.
Dr The Singh Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 I wish I could go. Been meaning to get to an academy game for ages now. I've never been to one, also would like to go but too busy on weekends these days!!
Ric Flair Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 I'll be there. I take it Chambers, Mattock and King are all away for this? Haven't seen Chambers start a match since early this year, it's pissing me off. Forget what i've put, i've just read that all 3 should be avilable..
lookwhaticando Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Stupid international breaks so that big national teams can fly away and play piss-pot little nations in the middle of a mountain range with a total population about as big as that of Braunstone, Northamptonshire. What I say to FIFA is get bent. Macedonia for crying out loud. Andorra! Until we played them, I always had assumed they didn't have enough players for a team. :pinch: Time to seperate the wheat from the chaff... make these crappy little teams qualify against each other for a chance to play with the big boys. Our season is interrupted far too much, it's bloody annoying. Rant-of-the-day over.
Bert Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 At least we're going to qualify. In fact when was the last time you qualified for a major tournament? Tomorrow, im off to watch my Saturday team play as im injured (2pm Lutterwroth recreational ground ) then should make it home for the England game.
lookwhaticando Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 When was the last time you beat Brazil? There's a bit of a gulf between not qualifying for a competition at all, and just failing to beating one of the top 4 teams in the world.
Finnegan Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 What was the score last time you played Northern Ireland?
Bert Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Answer the original questions first. When we last played Northern Ireland we lost 1-0 and I can't remember the last time we beat Brazil, but i do remember ( know of) this time that England won the world cup.
Finnegan Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Err... when was the last time you... er... won the Grand Slam?
Finnegan Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 The rugby world cup's some newbie event they made to basically merge the Tri Nations and Five (at the time) Nations and pretend we care about the rest of the world.
ithuriel Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 That'll do. Time to make both I would think. ive never bothered before but where are they playing?
BartonFox Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Hampden Park, Glasgow from about 4pm onwards will be a bouncing, rocking wall of noise that you will probably here in Leicester. I'll be the smartly dressed good looking one in the North Stand
Finnegan Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 The Millenium Stadium will be disappointingly quiet and sadly missing my absense. Until Wednesday!

I've never been to one before, but I might do this one because the 1st team aren't playing and i got nothing else to do. 11AM k/o? Hopefully i'll be up
