Daggers Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Is anyone else bothering to watch it? I still haven't re-found my enthusiasm for international football yet, (since the WC). I'm going to have it on while coding but find myself almost hoping they embarrass themselves. Roll on proper footy next weekend!
lildave3 Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Just coming out now, come on England! I think it will be a boring win for us.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Even when they play well now, I can't help thinking "why didn't you do that in the summer when it could have produced one of the defining moments of my lifetime you overpaid bastards?"
Daggers Posted 7 October 2006 Author Posted 7 October 2006 Even when they play well now... If you can let me know when they do this I'll try to stay awake This is pathetic so far
lildave3 Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Why the hell is Rooney playing so deep?!? This is Macedonia, not France. He's playing poor aswell imo
Tommeh Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 ok its official this is the 1st time i've EVER fallen asleep during a footie match
Tommeh Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 watching scotland v france now! watched the last 5 of the 1st half and the atmosphere and flow of the game was great compared to old trafford where the place was dead
Thracian Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Are English coaches all cloned now? What an example in trying to bore the pants off anyone. First rule when you play a giant striker. He gets support within five yards, not 15. Second rule against massed ranks. Someone takes people on and gets backing from a team-mate in doing so. So what if you lose the ball. As soon as forwards attack defenders the system is threatened and you get confusion. Massed defending by zones is only sound against a team intent on passing their way through. Spread wide and take people on. Then see how the gaps appear. Downing can do it but then needs some low passing options when he hits the danger zone. In other words closer support. Oh for a Paul Scholes.
Tommeh Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 glad virgin cancelled all trains which meant i had to sell my tickets and couldn't go... cause i'd be bored stiff! woooo theres the 1k for sheephead!!
lildave3 Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Gerrard misses next match. :pinch: just gets better and better
Daggers Posted 7 October 2006 Author Posted 7 October 2006 woooo theres the 1k for sheephead!! At least something has been achieved this afternoon then Woeful tactics and performance...I'm really going off football this season.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Should be 0-1. I had a bet on 0-0, not sure whether to lay off yet or not. Was quite big odds but surely England will nab a fluky goal soon?
stez Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor twats! we're shit ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! ahhh!
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 I'm glad Downing's off. IMHO he's not international class and neither is Carrick - £18 million? Again, IMHO, it might be worth taking off Carrick and putting on Parker. Poor game

Poor game carrick doesnt put himself about like hargreaves does - he was never worth £18million and hasnt done anything of any quality for man utd yet let alone engerland.
SystonFox Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 now theres sticking your neck out! ive already proved i know nothing today by stating the forest game will stay 0-2! hope im wrong again...
