lildave3 Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Scotland have beaten France! World cup finalists! I'm a bit Scottish so i like them, but i bet a lot of people aren't happy at this. Surely you can't begrudge them this win?

Daggers Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Well done Scotland. A great victory for scottish football as a whole. I thought that whenever Scotland succeeded at anything it was a victory for British sport
Joe. Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Normally I wouldn't want Scotland to win, but on this ocassion I will congratulate them on a brilliant win and I hope it continues (sort of)- until Euro 2008 that is...
lildave3 Posted 8 October 2006 Author Posted 8 October 2006 When they play Italy will be interesting, if they can nick a point off them then they might be in with a chance of qualifying
lcfc_jme Posted 8 October 2006 Posted 8 October 2006 When they play Italy will be interesting, if they can nick a point off them then they might be in with a chance of qualifying I think if they struggle to, or don't qualify now from the position they find themselves in, then they will not qualify for another major tournament ever again
Tubes Posted 8 October 2006 Posted 8 October 2006 they will qualify as long as they dont slip up against one of the smaller teams
lildave3 Posted 8 October 2006 Author Posted 8 October 2006 They've still got to play Italy twice, Ukraine twice and France once more. I wouldn't fancy Englands chances against that lot, let alone Scotlands.
Jay Posted 8 October 2006 Posted 8 October 2006 Heart, Passion, Desire, Courage, Pride great performance from the Scots!! If only England had one of those attributes we wouldn't have been borded to death yesterday evening

I wouldn't fancy Englands chances against that lot, let alone Scotlands. Exactly, a small step on the way to qualfying for Scotland, I maintain it will be a miracle if they qualify. Italy messing up twice has helped them, they have a 5 point gap and some breathing space. However away days in France and Italy are still to come, as well as the Ukraine in Kiev on Wednesday :pinch: they will have to beat either Italy/Ukriane at home, and I would think at least one away win at one of the big three as well as a draw. I don't see it happening. I have no love for Scotland but I admit the results they are getting are fantastic and I almost feel sorry for them. It's a absloute mare of a group. Also for the attention of Thracian, they played a 5-4-1 formation, at home. It goes to show attacking attitude or defending if a manager knows what he's doing he can get a result.

Stevosevic Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Scotland could cause a serious upset by qualifying from this group. i would love it if either Italy or France did not qualify. Come on you Scots.
