The People's Hero Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 It's gotta be him, Ian Marshall or Tony Cottee. Otherwise, frankly, I'm not interested and I'll boo whoever it is from the start.

Manwell Pablo Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 Lee Barnard would be my choice. Not that I think we should be lookin at strikers, Rob Kellys making a habbit of annoying me.
lookwhaticando Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 Couldn't afford him. Taylor loves him too much anyway. Worst of all, he's obviously not one of your fantasy players, Louise - so we just can't bring him in.
Daggers Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 Chap on the left looks tasty, reckon he could demonstrate a bit more oomph in front of goal too
Louise Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 Taylor loves him too much anyway. Worst of all, he's obviously not one of your fantasy players, Louise - so we just can't bring him in. Not on my list, but he did seem pretty scared when I met him a few seasons ago. Plus he has no mole now. What good would he be?
chappo Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 My uncle's best mate is a scout who works down the city and he has heard a rumour that we have bought an exciting young striker Robert Mobsby from non league side Medbourne Fc. He is rumoured to be superb player with a bright futre. The fee is undisclosed. Wait for this superstar!

The People's Hero Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 I preferred your post to be honest I thought it was good postomology all round. Ricky is clapping his injured hooves in appreciation too, whilst feasting on some Moroccan red ants.

Thracian Posted 9 October 2006 Posted 9 October 2006 I have a feeling it will be Neil Shipperley and i'd like that. If we are going down the Blackburn route then he might have a look at Matt Derbyshire, although surely Dodds is as good as he is from his youth exploits. Collymore would be the dream signing, although it's not going to happen is it? If Shipperly comes I'll write this season off and take my wife out Saturdays. And if Doddsy's a worse striker than he is these days then we've wasted a lot of investment and the lad might as well go back to Kirby Muxloe now and think about a new career. According to this he scores slightly every 3.5 games or so. Presumably in teams which have creative midfield players too! http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=7252

I heard that rumour, my mate knows Medbourne well and apparently he is s**t hot!! I think he scored 58 goals last season and was scouted by MK Dons, but he went travelling instead and ended up playing for a team in Regina, Canada. I think he's lightning quick too.
