Master Fox Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Probably a month or two than we will probably extend it Interesting predicament one might say
Joe. Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Could be perfect, apparently he can play in midfield and up front. Killing two birds with one stone!
davieG Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Could be perfect, apparently he can play in midfield and up front. Killing two birds with one stone! On the other hand it could be very bad as we could end up playing 451 knowing how our we play so deep.
Thracian Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Don't say that!. It's been bad enough listening to the England proposals about 3-5-2. Or more accurately 3-6-1 or 3/5/1 and occasionally two. What is it about today's coaches. Leaving one up front wrecked us in the World Cup, Levein used it and other variations of dourness and it cost him his job. Now Kelly looks like doing the same. Surely the compensation's not so good it makes managers hate the thought of being successful!
Steven Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Paul Gallacher it is, so I'm told. That name is on other forums and if it is true I am as happy as Larry. I think Gallacher is a more than fair player.

12FRYATT Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Steve Kabba anyone? although i doubt warnock would loan him out

Well considering the pay-offs some gaffers win, I'd say failure and getting the sack early seems more promising than doing well to them. Although I doubt with our gaffers it's the same story, seeing as we're skint and all... As I said before though, I'd be happy with any player who could put the ball in the net at half a chance
SystonFox Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Tranmere want to loan Sheff UTDs Danny Webber. we could go for him he has some quality and "knows this division well" however i would like to see Paul Gallacher here for a month or two. he seems like ideal Fryatt cover. on a side note, when we play Stoke at the end of the month will they be fielding a side of 11 loanee's? they like the old loan system dont they.

Half the clubs set out their stall with this dour attittude, particularly away from home. The lets pack the midfield and see what happens - well West Brom results happen. Bravery will bring you the odd beating but more often than not some good results instead of this constant wondering can we do it or are we really shite? Confidence, success and more confidence
I_miss_wembley_finals Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Couldn't agree with you more - when o when will managers realise that fortune honours the brave? Bravery will bring you the odd beating but more often than not some good results instead of this constant wondering can we do it or are we really shite? Confidence, success and more confidence I agree in principle with what you both are getting at, he who dares etc etc however I am a little apprehensive to begin the pursuit of attacking football as it seems to be a fruitless exercise. If we were to be rid of the current manager and his questionable tatics who would we be able to bring in with an attacking philosophy? How many managers are there out there who truly believe in attacking football and it being the path to success? How many of the top sides could be considered attacking? Forgive my cynicism, and its not meant to sound critical of your arguement, just not sure that all out attacking football has a place in the modern game, just look at what Chelsea have achieved in recent years with a prudent, physical, calculated brand of football. Is that what managers are trying to achieve, but of course failing?
Thracian Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Get me in! It'd be a reet laff! I'm surprised you've not been mentioned.
