The People's Hero Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Just the one?? Ello there. Jankers - you'd be my favourite uncle, should you be an uncle of mine.
Janx Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Ello there. Jankers - you'd be my favourite uncle, should you be an uncle of mine. Well I've got a fresh pack of Werthers at the ready.

Janx Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Ian Rush and Chris Waddle look cut! Bring them in thy've got the skills to pay the bills!
bald reynard Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Paul Gallacher it is, so I'm told. Are you saying that you've heard it IS Paul Gallacher who's coming to us ? If so, CAN you tell us your source ?
I_miss_wembley_finals Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 I'm willing to throw my support behind Bryan Roy, accepting his chequered past! On a serious note how much more sensible would it have been to invest any available resources in the midfield instead, rather than continue to hope that Williams will ever live up to his 'unlocking defences' billing. Why we cannot have gone in for Hendrie, or something similar knocking around the periphery of premiership clubs is beyond me.
Babylon Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Why we cannot have gone in for Hendrie, or something similar knocking around the periphery of premiership clubs is beyond me. How do you know we didn't? Maybe we did but couldn't afford what Villa Wanted.
I_miss_wembley_finals Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 How do you know we didn't? Maybe we did but couldn't afford what Villa Wanted. True, but there has been no official talk of us going in for any players full stop until now, so I'd take that as a hint that until the Fryatt injury the state of the team was not deemed urgent enough for resources to be found. Guess the same goes for most of these rumours, we don't know if they are true, but healthy debate is what this place is all about! I personally find that a little disappointing but time will tell, a striker on loan might be just what we need (here's hoping anyway.)

I honestly think RK thinks we're talking shit and his midfield is fine.
The People's Hero Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Well I've got a fresh pack of Werthers at the ready. Boy oh boy!
Surreal Madrid Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Are you saying that you've heard it IS Paul Gallacher who's coming to us ? If so, CAN you tell us your source ? My lips are sealed, but it looks like a done deal. He may not have been a million miles away from Belvoir Drive this morning.
Master Fox Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 My lips are sealed, but it looks like a done deal. He may not have been a million miles away from Belvoir Drive this morning. Did your uncle's dog tell you that by any chance?
bald reynard Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 My lips are sealed, but it looks like a done deal. He may not have been a million miles away from Belvoir Drive this morning. Interesting !! Can we rely on you - is it a done deal (I'll be reminding you - and everyone else - in the future, if it's just more speculation dressed up as fact !) ?
Master Fox Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 I thought Paul Gallacher was a goalkeeper ??

Can we rely on you - is it a done deal (I'll be reminding you - and everyone else - in the future, if it's just more speculation dressed up as fact !) ? It's more than speculation, but until it's confirmed you can never be 100% sure. I am quite happy to be ridiculed if it falls through, I'm merely passing on info from a friend who normally has his finger on the pulse.
Surreal Madrid Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 I thought Paul Gallacher was a goalkeeper ?? This is the other one from Blackburn, who did more than adequetly on loan at Stoke last year. Kelly knows him from his days at Blackburn.
Swedging Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Paul Gallacher it is, so I'm told. Gallagher, no?
Stevosevic Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 hasnt he scored in the premiership this season?
lcfc_jme Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Stoke have loaned Salif Diao today as well..... I honestly think RK thinks we're talking shit and his midfield is fine. I sincerely hope this isn't the case, as the current midfield just isn't good enough - the reason our strikers haven't been very effective so far this season. I'd like to get an experience striker in tbh, one that knows how to put the ball in the net given half a chance, even if he is old and past his sell-by date
breaker7 Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 hasnt he scored in the premiership this season? Yup vs Man City when they won 4-2 I only know as I have been checking who he is - had Kevin Gallachers face stuck in my head for some reason !
Ric Flair Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 I'd be very happy if it is Paul Gallacher. I can see why it would be him what with Kelly's links with Blackburn. I wonder whether this will be a short term loan or a season job?

I wonder whether this will be a short term loan or a season job? Til the new year I'd hazard a guess. Afterall, the rumours are that Fryatt's crocked and will be out for 2 months - a loan until January 1st would cover it, hopefully.
