As I'm the owner of a natty 'Arsenal Bashing Thread' I thought I'd just frequent this one to give it my whole hearted backing as Leeds are just as bad a the Arse (but in a different way!!)...

Keep up the laughter (hopefully with them to League 1!! lol

About the only thing keeping me smiling after our result lol

I'm well chuffed not only are they in the bottom three but they lost to thier rivals after being 2-1 up at half time :D:D

Leeds took another beating yesterday, when Southampton put 3 past them at Elland Road and Leeds couldn't even manage a single goal infront of 19,647 fans lol :laugh:

how? was their reason for sacking him not "your a big pile of poo". can't seriously see how he could claim he was hard done to as he was sacked for being crap. granted they replaced him with someone who probably will do worse

Axed Blackwell set to sue Leeds

Blackwell, who led Leeds to the brink of the Premiership last season, believes he has no option other than to sue the Yorkshire club after he was sacked two months ago.

Leeds chairman Ken Bates has declined to enter into compensation talks with Blackwell's representatives, the League Managers Association.

"We would have preferred to keep it out of court," LMA chief executive John Barnwell said.

"But it would appear Leeds don't want to negotiate a settlement.

"Mr Bates has said Kevin Blackwell was not dismissed because of poor results but for negative comments made in the press about the club's finances, but having looked closely at this case we feel we have no option other than to put the matter in the hands of our lawyers."

Leeds issued a statement which read: "In response to suggestions that former manager Kevin Blackwell is preparing to sue the club for wrongful dismissal, Leeds United can confirm that the matter is currently in the hands of our lawyers.

"No further comment will be made at this stage."

Blackwell, who has remained tight-lipped since being sacked on September 20, is understood to have been stunned by the manner of his dismissal.

The former Sheffield United coach had steered Leeds to Championship safety in his first full season in charge before narrowly missing out on promotion last season.

But the 47-year-old came under increasing pressure this time around as his side lost momentum and poor early results added to the fans' frustration following the 3-0 play-off final defeat to Watford.

"We have instructed Kevin Blackwell very clearly to make no comment at all," Barnwell added.

"We had to find out what the comments he made in the press were and having seen them the matter has been passed onto our legal team.

"It does not necessarily mean it has to go to court.

"There may be a re-think by somebody who realises they have gone about this the wrong way - but we're not too optimistic."

Blackwell, who succeeded Eddie Gray in June 2004 after spending 12 months as coach, was sacked after a 1-0 defeat at Coventry saw them slump to second-bottom in the table - their lowest ever league position.

Blackwell, a goalkeeper in his playing days with Boston, Scarborough, Notts County, Huddersfield and Plymouth, first arrived as coach in the summer of 2003 after being recommended to then manager Peter Reid.

But Reid lasted just eight months in charge and when Eddie Gray was sacked just six months after that, Blackwell became the club's fifth manager in under two years.

Hmm...be really crap at your job...get sacked...get lots of money.

I wonder how easy it is to become a football manager? :unsure: I seem almost overqualified.

There's always somebody doing worse than us, and apart from Forest, who just lost first place in League One to S****horpe, there's this one club oop North hardly anyone likes.

After losing 3-1 to Stoke, this is what Leeds assistant coach Gustavo Poyet said to the press:

"It is difficult to analyse because the first half was the best we have played in the last month.

"Most people probably expected us to fold after going behind early, but we proved them wrong and played very well.

"But the pace of our play slowed and we got punished for making mistakes. Things are not going for us and we must work hard to make sure the tide turns."

Notice the fact that Wanka Wise is no longer giving interviews apparently. lol

And the fans? Read this:

"There have been some difficult times at Leeds recently but after today's loss to Stoke, I think it's time for Wise to go.

When he came in, I was ready to give him the benefit of the doubt. We were struggling with results and we needed a figurehead to motivate the players, but morale from the team seems at an all time low.

David Healy is not half the player he was, we lack creativity in midfield and most of them in the squad don't deserve to wear the club shirt. The January transfer window maybe nearing, but who is going to want to come to a club that is struggling in the Championship?

Division 1 hear we come!"

Looking forward to them coming to the Walkers. I think ts near the end of the season. With any luck we can be the team that sends them down. :P
