Sparky Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 boston have turned down a 100k bid from championship side leicester for northern ireland striker andy kirk todays sun
Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 Here more about the Kirk offer The Northern Ireland international, who has scored 11 goals in 14 starts for the Pilgrims so far, was the subject of an approach, but Boston chairman Jon Sotnick confirmed that the six-figure package offer had been turned down. Sotnick said: “I can confirm that the senior board members met late on Wednesday to consider a number of points and one included was an offer from a Championship club, who have requested anonymity at this time. However, we turned the bid down because it did not meet our valuation of Andy and we want to give our manager Steve Evans every chance of winning a significant number of points over the Christmas period.†The unnamed Championship outfit are expected to monitor the ongoing progress of Kirk in action during the large amount of games scheduled over the festive period. The chairman emphasised that the club will make no further comment on this issue and wished the team every success for what he considers to be a very difficult match at home to Darlington on Saturday

Muz Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Leicester target set for Boston exit Boston United manager Steve Evans believes that Andy Kirk will leave the League Two side sooner rather than later The Northern Ireland international scored his thirteenth and fourteenth goals of the season in last night’s 2-0 win over Southend to boost Boston’s play-off claims. 25-year-old Kirk joined Boston in the summer from SPL side Hearts and Leicester boss Craig Levein is keen to be re-united with a player he knows well from his time at Tynecastle. Evans said after last night’s game: “The boy is going to go. We have already had two offers that the chairman has turned down. “There were representatives from both clubs here at this game.†I know we had a bid for him rejected eariler on in the season , now they no they're going to lose him , maybe he'll be coming to us Link
Mark Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international agreed a two-year contract to move to York Street after being released by Hearts at the end of the 2003-2004 campaign. A player he released?

gorgie jungle Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 What a goalscorer he is guys 10 times better than MDV but he will feed off him and any loose balls in the box. Only problem he's injury prone. I was gutted when he left Hearts but we could not afford to keep him. Btw the guy in the picture is Stevie Kirk not Andy.

Mark Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Does anyone know anything about him? Has he got any pace?
Ash Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I've saw a few clips of him and he has good technique with the ball at his feet !
