Head Honcho Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I've just bought a Porshe. I'm going to have to do lots more laps of Gotham Racing before I'm going to be able to afford another car. That reminds me of a joke I heard years ago: An unemployed handyman looking for work jobs knocks on the front door of a house. When the owner answers, the handyman asks if there are any odd jobs the owner needs done. The owner says, "well, I was just about to paint my porch around back. I'd pay you good money to do it for me." The handyman agrees, and the owner gives him a bucket of green paint and a clean paint brush. A little while later the handyman knocks on the front door again and annoucnes that he's done. "But there's something you should know," he says. "That car of yours isn't a Porche, it's a BMW." Told you it was an old one

The People's Hero Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I test drove both a fiesta ST 2.0 and a renault clio 182 cup about 3 weeks ago. My mate bought the clio in the end. Good fun.

Head Honcho Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 What'd you do? Run a copper down? More like 40 in a 30! Unfortunately I was dealing with a family bereavement and failed to return my license for endorsing. I was away from home for a few weeks and returned last week with both letters there waiting for me. I can still drive for a year and have the right of appeal which I'm sure will be successful.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a string of circumstances coming together at once to hurt you. Good luck with the appeal business anyhow.
