brookfox Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Errrr, Heskey. Obviously his younger, cheaper, less famous brother, but he's got the combo of pace and strength I reckon Hume would thrive off.
Monk Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 As much as I hate the guy I think Alan Smith would be a great loan signing and would be a good move for him - lets face it - he's not going to be getting much action this season for MU. As someone said before I think also Marlon Harewood would also do the trick. He takes his chances and creates them too. WOuld add some much needed physical strength to the forward line. He might also want out if Magnusson is going to swagger his millions on a new striker.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 well I look a BIT like the top one... Fookit, that's meant to be Bobby Disco. I would have edited it so it didn't have that bloke underneath him but 1) I couldn't be arsed and 2) it provides someone with an opportunity to make a joke about some bloke being underneath him.
Daggers Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Fookit, that's meant to be Bobby Disco. Me? MAte, this is me now - as a coot.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 This thread has degenerated from its previous state of farce, plunging ever lower towards new depths of... yep... slapstick. I'm dialling Bob's Mobile Discos as we speak.
Bert Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 I'm going to watch the season review of when Collymore scored the hat-trick in bed tonight now.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 With MM's Pompey connection, I could see either Svetoslav Todorov or Lomano Tresor Lua Lua coming to The Walkers. Either of these could be ideal IMO.
Thracian Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 I'm going to watch the season review of when Collymore scored the hat-trick in bed tonight now. Whatever turns you on!
Guest Gist Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 I think Fryatt partners Hume well, it's just we don't have the Midfield to help them both resulting in Fryatt playing well under his ability.
Thracian Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Umm .... I do agree about the midfield but it still begs the question why is Hume playig so well and Fryatt so badly?
disheartened fan Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Because Fryatt relys on quality balls being played into him, and while we keep playing full-backs and center-backs in midfield that isn't going to happen.
dandannieldanok Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Steve Howard be a perfect strike partner to Hume.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Steve Howard be a perfect strike partner to Hume. He's doing very well at the sheep though, so there would be no way on Earth we'd tempt him away from Gay PP I reckon somebody who can hold the ball up, win it in the air and find the right passes into space would be brilliant to partner Hume, problem is, anybody who is seriously good at it will cost us a bit more than MM would like to spend methinks
disheartened fan Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Big man up front = long ball tactics
lcfc_jme Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Not big as in Peter Crouch big etc.. But somebody who is considerably taller than both Huuuume and Fryatt, because they aren't the biggest strikers in the world, and we rarely score from crosses these days.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Marcus Bent or Todorov, if not them then Aliadiere.
