davieG Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Surely there are other ways to lose weight, if that is problem than just playing football. Likewise general fitness, he doesn't even look like he's fit enough to play in the masters tournament.

Likewise general fitness, he doesn't even look like he's fit enough to play in the masters tournament. Exactly. I've recently seen the lad fairly close-up and to be honest he doesn't look fat, it's abit of an excuse for him being crap this season. But there are certainly other ways of getting his fitness levels to a high standard. Go and train with Ricky Hatton for a month.
Guest Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I know that they work doubly hard in training and all that, but surely Fryatt could spend a couple of hours in the gym in the afternoon.
Anish Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 There's a difference between being 'fit' and 'match fit' - even extra sessions in the gym might not be the answer, though it wouldn't do any harm I guess (I've not seen Fryatt since the opening game of the season so I really don't know how fat or lethargic he's become).

Don't disagree Anish, the problem is he just doesn't look fit period. He also doesn't look too bothered by it all either. He's in no way fired up, the message he sends out to me is what the hell am I doing here - whether that's Leicester or football in genereal
Guest Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 As davieG says. I'd love to know what's going on behind the scenes at the mo.
Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2006 Posted 12 December 2006 As davieG says. I'd love to know what's going on behind the scenes at the mo. Me too. I wonder what sort of man-management skills Rob is using in regard to Fryatt? Last season Matty showed that he is technically one of our best players and it's obvious he's massively off form. If I were manager you'd be desperate for that player to re-discover their form as they have ability you can't teach. I'm not saying Kelly doesn't want Fryatt back on form, but his motivation skills, etc aren't working with him. It's not as if Matty has had to up sticks and move to other end of the country at a young age and he's unsettled, he's just probably disillusioned with the way this team plays and he doesn't fit in with that style. Rob should make it his priority to make Fryatt tick again, his goals are badly needed.

He doesn't seem to want to make the effort though does he? Do we have an actual fitness coach or not? Get John Duggan in the ex Tigers fitness coach he'd whip em into shape! I remember him well from school he used to give me a good whipping everytime I forgot my kit

He turned down plenty of clubs but chose us and then less than a year down the line, he couldn't give a bollocks? odd.
who-izzet Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 They should send the lot of them to an army camp at the end of the season like MON did!
Thracian Posted 14 December 2006 Author Posted 14 December 2006 They should send the lot of them to an army camp at the end of the season like MON did! Hereford or Falluja?
Head Honcho Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 *BUMP* Eight weeks since a goal......... ..............four weeks after the start of this thread and still no improvement Even during our purple patch, apart from a few good touches against Hull, he's been virtually a passenger!

Dreadful against Sunderland. His shot from the Hume knock down was Hammond-esque.
Geo V Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 He obviously needs a goal but it might help if he is in a settled team with a settled strike partnership. God knows how many strikers we have used this season and how many combinations Kelly has tinkered with. I know why he has done it but its not helping Fryatt. BTW my old man used to own a chippy in East Leicester years ago and Gary Mac used to come in for a kebab twice a week and fast food didnt harm him and make him look slow!!! There is no excuse for a footballer to be overweight or have man baps but quite a few do, like Nissa!!!!!!! Why a club would allow a player to be overweight or unfit is amazing. You own that players registratuion so get the fudger fit whether he likes it or not. Sling him out on loan if need be!!!!!

Where was that I used to live by Gary and we used to go out together all the time, he used to like a drink or two as well! It's like everything in life you reap what you sow and if you like a drink or maybe even a kebab you have to work harder in training. It's about time they got someone down Belvoir Drive who can whip the lot of them into shape!
Webbo Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Dreadful against Sunderland. His shot from the Hume knock down was Hammond-esque. that was the best move of the game, the knock down was brillaint, shame about the finish. makes me optimistic that the hume/fryatt partnership could be back on.
PompeyFox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Casino's and clubs. Distraction, i rest my case. Chuck him out on loan for a month.

The chippy was on Ambassador Road next door to some big old Video Box store and I was busy upstairs playing the Commodore 64 footy games when a shout would come upstairs from the sis to come down (I would usually say fudge off!!!) but I would make my way into the shop to lear towards the master passer, Gary Mac!!!!!!

Oh right! I know it well. Gary used to live with Ally Mauchlen behind the Garage opposite Humberstone Park. That area was my neck of the woods when I lived in Leicester. Did you ever use The Full Moon pub? That was my local

Geo V Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 i live there Nice one! It was fun living in the area and seeing the local yobs setting the bins alight infront of the chippy, only to see my old man spoil things and chase them up the road with his 12 bore shotgun. Aaaah, those were simple times!
