eaststandtom Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 would you want to live near crewe? varney has scored goals in league one for 3 months so far this season. fryatt did the business for pushing 3 seasons at that level. fryatt shouldnt be written off. the service he gets would be dreadful if he got any

gatesheadfox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 if i played for crewe i would and sileby's a shit hole o id probably live there anyway, anythings better than sileby not very familiar with the area but if its nicer than afganistan i'd still rather live there than crewe
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 hes still rubbish even if he gets decent service he cant even hit the target most of the time yet alone score plus hes too greedy at least varney involves other players Do you even know how many goals Luke Varney scored in this division last season?
Kilworthfox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Do you even know how many goals Luke Varney scored in this division last season? Im all for being a sceptic but Varney has 10 goals and does look v.impressive as he is tall quick an looks like a realy good athelete which is half the battle in this leauge. Unfortunately we do need skill too as Elvis can testify with ALL his performances

Kilworthfox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Sounds a bit like Fryatt last year....but with fewer goals. 5 goals in this division last season. He is still a young guy and seems to have improved. he was playing in a poor side which went down aswell Im not saying he is definately the answer just an option to be considdered
Graz Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Sorry but it's annoying me all this slagging off of Fryatt. A month or 2 ago everyone thought he was class and is a potential superstar, now after a few bad games everyone is writing him off and saying we should get rid! He might have been pretty shite lately, but so have the rest of them. Strikers need service, and they're not getting it. He's a player who needs the ball to his feet. I'm sure if we had Van Nistelrooy in this team he wouldn't be scoring either. I think as soon as we can get some players in who can pass the ball around and give it to Hume and Fryatt at the feet then they'll get firing. I hate how our fans turn on and scapecoat players so quickly.
Swedging Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Strikers need service, and they're not getting it. Strikers also need to keep off the pies. Especially if they're a bit slow in the first place.

I hate how our fans turn on and scapecoat players so quickly. He has been over weight since that Luton match start of the season and then injured his ankle and gets no supply from midfield, that about sums up his season! A bit quick to say he's no good i agree And why choose Fryatt as a scapegoat there are so many other deserving contenders Elvis Johnno Low RK The Board Shagger Barber All Good candidates that i would put before matty but if he dont pick up soon the list will be revaluated
Daggers Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 I'm torn ~ do I start referring to him as Matty Fry-up or Matty Pie-it?
The People's Hero Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Fatty 'Where've Jamesino and his Dad gone with all the pies' Fry-up is my preferred option.
Simi Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 I think Fryatt will rediscover his form when he gets some more service from the midfield. Williams and Weso will hopefully link up better with Fryatt. Also its quite obvious to see he is low on confidence he started last year very well similar to Ryan Smth who then lost his confidence and went a few games without really performing. I think that a goal at home will improve his confidence and hopefully get back to his old self.
The People's Hero Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 I don't hear Hume moaning about the service. All I hear him doing is shouting in an annoying Canadian accent before bamming in another ridiculous and possibly deflected long range effort and then rubbing himself up and down Dawn French's naked thigh.
Daggers Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 I think Fryatt will rediscover his form when he gets some more service from the midfield. What, they're going to start bringing his food to him? The lazy fat bastard.
The People's Hero Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 He looks like Rob Key at the moment. A spoilt tubby child who's just been told he can't have anymore jelly.

All I hear him doing is shouting in an annoying Canadian accent before bamming in another ridiculous and possibly deflected long range effort and then rubbing himself up and down Dawn French's naked thigh. Different players have different strengths. Hume is someone who can drop deep, run at players, shoot from distance and create a bit for himself. Fryatt is someone who needs service into the box so that he can then find space and finish. I think Hume is a better player than Fryatt, but just because Hume can score from long range, doesn't mean Fryatt is shit because he can't. To use Van Nistelrooy as an example again, he doesn't bang them in from outside the area, he doesn't run through a defence and create loads of chances for himself. Doesn't mean he's crap, just means he's not that type of player. Oh and for the record, Matty Fry-up is the better name
Milky Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 To use Van Nistelrooy as an example again, he doesn't bang them in from outside the area, he only ever scored 1 goal from outside the area for Man U. Charlton away last season.
