chili_con_carne Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Club pays tribute to fans They are saying it was a great achievement to get 22,693 on Saturday. Hardly, considering our stadium holds 32,500 and there were about 3,000+ sheff wednesday fans there. It's obvious they are saying this to try and lure everyone back for the next game, after that embarrasing performance.
Joe. Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 This is the best bit: "And the Foxes now look set for another massive attendance when they take on Barnsley in their next home fixture - with the game currently heading for a sell out" Wow 22,000 people, That really is massive...
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 This is the best bit: "And the Foxes now look set for another massive attendance when they take on Barnsley in their next home fixture - with the game currently heading for a sell out" Wow 22,000 people, That really is massive... Is this 18000 Leicester fans and 12000 Barnsley fans? Why do they think there will be a sell-out for the arrival of someone like Barnsley? Try Sunderland on News Years Day, or they could have even done Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Steven Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 This is the best bit: "And the Foxes now look set for another massive attendance when they take on Barnsley in their next home fixture - with the game currently heading for a sell out" Wow 22,000 people, That really is massive... We are seventh in terms of numbers. Includes part-time Pete's like me.
Wils Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Were a "big" club...should be getting more than that
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Were a "big" club...should be getting more than that But Leeds are a bigger club than us but there rooted to the bottom. Oh well
Stuliasz Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Barnsley is a fans fixture so maybe we could reach a good attendance, similar to the Palace match.
Louise Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Someone made the exact point, with almost exactly the same phrasing, on the Moan In last night. Hopefully if the club were listening to that they listened to everything else being said as well.
Stevosevic Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 does that say Coventry's stadium only holds 23,000? that cant be right
breadandcheese Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 If our stadium is a carbon copy of Southampton's, where do their extra 51 seats come from? Where are the 51 seats? Why don't we have them?
Hullfox Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Do the club count all season ticket holders as having attended even if they don't go?
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 does that say Coventry's stadium only holds 23,000? that cant be right When Coventry are on tele at the Ricoh Arena, the stadium looks half empty.
AyewJoking Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Do the club count all season ticket holders as having attended even if they don't go? Yes. Thats about the only thing being a season ticket holder does count for these days.
Leonisco Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 We are seventh in terms of numbers. Includes part-time Pete's like me. What, that site says Coventry's ground only holds 23,000. It's the same capacity as ours.
davieG Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 What, that site says Coventry's ground only holds 23,000. It's the same capacity as ours. I think it's based on the first few games of the season when it was limited due to H&S checks, obviously not been updated.
vanfox12 Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 If our stadium is a carbon copy of Southampton's, where do their extra 51 seats come from? Where are the 51 seats? Why don't we have them? Must be a quirk in the design of the stadium. Probably additional seats in the Corporate areas.
Daggers Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 But... *SLAP!* Leeds... *SLAP!* are... *SLAP!* a... *SLAP!* bigger... *SLAP!* club... *SLAP!* than... *SLAP!* us. *SLAP!* And let that be a lesson to you
Thracian Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 They come up with these comments from time to time but it's a pity they don't show some real appreciation through their approach on the football field.
Smudge Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 We are seventh in terms of numbers. Includes part-time Pete's like me. I had a look at League 1 and Swansea have an average of 110% average capacity, I guess someone should tell 365 that Swansea have a new stadium.
