Scow Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 Why change a winning formula? (albeit not a convincing one)
Royston. Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 Unconvincing it may have been but what a fantastic result. 3 points at molineux! Barnsley will probably over-defend and make it hard for our already weak attack. I hope Kelly has prepared for that.

I agree, so the question is, who is more of a attacking threat.........tough choice, but it would have to be McCauley due to his height etc!! The defence never really looked troubled against Wolves despite all that second half pressure so stick with McAuley. And as for Barnsley playing a defensive game, McAuley's aerial pressence from free kicks and corners could prove useful!

Wils Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 No,McAuley is a better player than Paddy,Rob will still play him though.

Lord Nibblington Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 In Short, Hell No. Which doesn't mean that he won't be put back in the team. What odds can I get for him getting a stupid booking in the first 10 minutes folks?
Joe. Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 No Way! McCarthy doesn't deserve his place in th team McAuley was simply outstanding against Wolves and should be able to keep his place

RowlattsFox Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 mcauley should stay in without a doubt. as for barnsley being defensive, i don't think they will, they have scored 28 goals compared to our 21. they usualy have a go at teams but their approach to games might be diferent now that ritchie is not there. Unabomber Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 There isn't a logical reason to put Paddy back in the team, he is as consistant as McAuley and he doesn't seem as disiplined
lookwhaticando Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 It's a sad state of affairs when I Captain is only wanted back in the side by around 9% of the fans.

I would like to see them play together all 3 central defenders but that means going against the 4-4-2 & there's no chance!

Leonisco Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 No - McAuley was superb (from what I hear ) at Wolves, would not be right to just drop him. I do like Paddy Mac, he's got great potential, but McAuley has been excellent whenever I've seen him, whereas Paddy is more erratic.
gosfox Posted 15 December 2006 Share Posted 15 December 2006 Whilst McCauley is playing so well, Paddy should be made to fight for his place (not literally ) I'm sure it would do him good to realise that there is competition for the position
