Suffolk_fox Posted 17 December 2006 Posted 17 December 2006 Stowmarket is the place to be. Erm yeah, like Coventry is the centre of footballing excellence....
Maybes Posted 17 December 2006 Posted 17 December 2006 There's a few decent bars. Clubs you have, Zanzibar, Liquid/Envy, Life, Manilla, Mosh, Havana (dont go there) After Dark (Or there) Personally I wouldnt go there either.
lookwhaticando Posted 17 December 2006 Posted 17 December 2006 Erm yeah, like Coventry is the centre of footballing excellence.... lol And not a hint of sarcasm.
Filbert_Ross Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Personally I wouldnt go there either. dont you like indie music??
Babylon Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 If you are looking for a night out that doesn't involve fighting, places light Fat Cats and Lallibella are ok to start with. Then to clubs like Original Four and Manilla. I would generally start off down the Narborough Road/Braunstone Gate area. Lots more decent bars to choose from (looking glass, loaf, mobius to name just 3) and ther is never any trouble, it's only a short taxi ride into the town centre, there where you can just do one bar (fat cats) and go straight to a club (manilla). That would be my night.

Yes, man of my own. even though Leicester is quite pants, I usuallyy drink on Narborough Road\Brauny Gate, then walk into town, and maybe a tipple along the way then end up in Fat Cats or Showrooms (which is now closed). Don't really like clubs but Original 4 wasn't so bad!!!
The People's Hero Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Terrace Bar used to be good when I was living in Leic.
Dr The Singh Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 dont you like indian music?? Love abit of Bhangra, now you ask!!!!!
cisono Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 I need some nightlife after working through another weekend! We're going out tomorrow night (but in Loughborough), hope it's a good one!
Guest Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Fat Cats is alright to a point, then it gets far too crowded for me. If you have to wait more than 10 minutes to get served, it's wrong.

Cobbo Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Manilla, hate it. Sweat box and you pay £8 to get in! And then you don't have enough to buy any drinks
Filbert_Ross Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Not really no. I can see why mosh isnt for you
Trumpet Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Anyone who goes Life, could someone pleeeeease tell me the song thats always played, everyone goes mental to it. Drum n bass song i believe?
Spee-d Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 If any of you didn't go to Zanzibar last night - you missed out ona right treat. There was strippers in there, not only did they strip but they also performed sexual acts. The first girl had a dildo with her. The second woman had a great figure. The next ones on were two women who performed sexual acts on each other. I've got some great video's. All the guys with their camera phones, tougnes hanging out some standing on the seats at the back, like they have never seen naked girls before. Shame. Was generally a great night on Thursday though, at Zanzibar.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 Manilla, hate it.Sweat box and you pay £8 to get in! And then you don't have enough to buy any drinks Manilla is way too expensive, entry and drinks. Liquid and Zanzibar I wouldn't be seen alive in either. After a stroll down Braunstone Gate I recommend going to bars like Terrace, Mars (downstairs and get a sofa) and Turkey Cafe and then onto a club like o4, then when had enough of that onto one of the close by late bars like nomads/sunbar and stay till the sun begins to rise. Mosh on a saturday can be a good laugh, but the quality of women is debatable at times!! Do not go to havanas unless you soley want drugs because people will come up to you and ask you if you want some. Place if full of coke heads, so don't be surprised if some meat head comes over to you and demands you give him your drink. Strange place and best avoided!!

Ultra Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Was out in Market Street on Friday. A couple of teenage stunners, out celebrating their A-level results, invited me to the Fan Club. Flattered as I was by their interest, I had to decline. I daren't go in such places these days unless accompanied by my other half...
