Strongest XI

Say that all of our players were fit and on form. None of them were loaned out (Mark De Vries 'ey )... Who would you have as your starting Foxes XI?

Feel free to include players from the Youth and Reserves (If you know any, which I don't! Ok, I've heard of Ashley Chambers... 'bout it really.)

Pick a different formation too if you like

Mine would be:

Henderson

Alan Maybury Patrick Kisnorbo Patrick McCarthy Nils Eric-Johnasson

Josh Low Gareth Williams Stephen Hughes Levi Porter

Matty Fryatt Iain Hume

Bench:

Rab Douglas

Gareth McCauley

Andy Welsh

Elvis Hammond

Andy Johnson.

Well, that's mine

I think it shows the problems at the club that if you asked 100 people to write down their strongest team then there would probably be about 85 different teams! Ridiculous!

Henderson

Maybury, McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Johansson

Hughes, Williams, Weslowski, Porter

I'm fairly sure Hume can play as a right winger - correct me if wrong. If I'm right, though, and I'm reasonably sure, then I'd have the team like this:

Defence: Maybury - McAuley - McCarthy - Johansson (Kisnorbo is probably as good as the two CB's, I see them as interchangeable to be honest)

Midfield: Hume - Williams - Weso - Porter

Attack: Fryatt, Hammond

This formation can then become more like this when attacking:

DEF

Williams - Weso - Porter

Hume - Fryatt - Hammond

Henderson

Stearman

Kisnorbo

McAuley

Nils

Williams

Weso

Porter

Huuuuuume

Fryatt

Hammond

Subs: Logan, McCarthy, Gradel + King (just to see what Thracian sees in them :P ), Chambers

Been done to death, but I'll put down what I usually put down (althoughI've swapped Paddy Mc for McAuley):

It really is time to pick a co-ordinated side and it is time to accept that if we have no scorers in midfield we will never get enough goals.

Every player in the team has to be able to contribute to attacking as well as defending.

We have to play a genuine marksman and we have to find a proper answer to our problem on the right wing.

I am truly fed up with compromise or bodged solutions.

Even today - when Kelly did some good things - playing Hughes wide right and changing Maybury to left-back was ridiculous. And it isn't the first time he's done it.

I'm sure I saw Sheehan get off the team bus so there's no excuse. Sheehan is a left-back, Maybury is not.

Why Kelly persists with 4-4-2 I've no idea. For the millionth time we haven't got the personnel and the system is compromised from the word go.

We don't even make the width to make 4-4-2 effective because we play narrow and don't support from full-back.

So we have to try something that does suit our players...

Don't get me wrong - we don't have a particularly special team however you mix it. But let us give what we've got a chance.

We don't have height, strength, speedy dribblers or devastating strikers. So we have to pass and move as a unit instead of operating as individual parts, some of whom pass, some of whom don't and very few of whom move.

My strongest team would be:

Henderson;

Stearman, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Sheehan;

King, Williams, Tiatto;

Hammond, Dodds, Porter.

Porter would take all attacking free-kicks and corners unless he designates someone else for variety.

The system - having two attacking full-backs would move fluidly into 3-4-3 or 3-3-4. Every player, apart from Kisnorbo can pass and every player has shown he can score.

Subsitutes would be: Logan, Nils, Hughes, Wesolowski, Fryatt.

I would actually hand back my season ticket if that was the team named. They would get destroyed.

Personally, I don't rate Tiatto that highly, but you're happy for him to both appear on the bench and in the first eleven.
