Anyone who thinks Scheva has been a flop is a complete footballing idiot who refuses to look outside of the box. His influence on Drogba is completely undeniable and his performaces as a provider have been exceptional.

Jose Mourinho is a lot of things, but he is NOT an idiot. If Schevchenko wasn't playing a nescersary role in the Chelsea team, he wouldn't be playing. Simple as.

The assistance he is giving Drogba maybe good, but is it worth £30.8 million? For the price-tag he has been a huge flop. Mourinho made a mistake in paying that price, simple as.

Michael Owen hasn't exactly been a raging success at Newcastle.

Especially for the money they paid for him..

Spot on. How much did they pay for him between them? About 50x more than they should have. lol

28.1 million quids on his move to Manchester and about 14 million quid moving south. Incredible. :smile:

What's amazing is... he went to Parma for 15m, then Sven signed him for a second time at Lazio for 18.1m.

So in four moves, he totalled 75.2 million quid in transfer fees. :blink:

He was one of the very best in the world when at Parma and Lazio, and he's just won the Argentinian championship with Estudiantes. He did flop in Britain, but he's still a brilliant player and at the time, the 28,1mil price Man U paid for him, was just about justifiable (in football terms)

Who says Mourinho bought him? Anyway, it's still his first season, so he might still turn good. He's still a class player. Drogba didn't have a scintillating season when he first arrived. Now he's going amok for them..

it's a pretty well known fact that it was roman who was insistant on the price Milan wanted far less + Crespo but he insisted on a straight cash deal so that he could beat the british transfer record for Rio to Manure

Bollocks, mate. £30.8m is pocket money to Abamovic. You can't judge a flop by Chelsea's financial standards, really. They've signed players that have done fook all, but he isn't one of them.

Carlo Cudicini a flop? Hardly.

What about Winston Bogarde for Chelsea - earning around £40k/week but didn't even make the squad for most his time. According to Wikipedia (not the most reliable source, granted) he made 11 appearances in 4 years - and refused to leave Chelsea because he wouldn't get the same money elsewhere. Well done to him I say.

I'd have to say Shevchenko, 30 MIllion should at least equalt 30 goals per season.

And also Newcastle's Albert Luque. He's scored a couple but..he is not worth 9.5 million like Newcastle paid for him.

Thats just 2 of the many flops i could name
