Finnegan Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Oh the memories of Pompey. "The Fratton Park Deep-End"
Simi Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 What a stupid idea!! you have to feel for those that have traveled all that way especially if they call it off!! I was thinking the same...massive journey for nothing to happen !
JoeyB Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 if it is called off when do you think the game will be played? i know one will know but you might have an idea
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Holly's at the game and says it's stopped raining and they're sweeping the pitch so she thinks it'll go ahead. Having said that, this is Holly we're talking about.
Leonisco Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 if it is called off when do you think the game will be played? i know one will know but you might have an idea Dunno, but if it is called off there's gonna be a bit of a fixture pile-up, especially if we have to replay against Fulham.
MC Prussian Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Holly says it's stopped raining and they're sweeping the pitch so she thinks it'll go ahead. Having said that, this is Holly we're talking about. Fingers crossed then!
Steven Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Kick off is at 3:45 now depending on a pitch inspcetion at 3:30 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...30601&st=80
MBK Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 I hope we play. We always do well in ridiculously wet conditions on the South Coast. Hoofball conditions. I hope the game starts. No energy wasted running after the ball. What Hammond miskicks, the rain will correct. Fryatt will be slowed down enough not to be offside. Having said that I'm enjoying a bit of delightful sunshine.
Daggers Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 What Hammond miskicks, the rain will correct This should be someone's sig before the afternoon is out
Floating Fox Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 i hope the rain does go away i really do hope that the game does go ahead if it doesnt it will be real gutting for the people who left at about 9am on foxtravel to get to southampton Feel more sorry for everyone who drove down there themselves. Poor bastards
JoeyB Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 This should be someone's sig before the afternoon is out sorted c'mon rain go away, we want sun now i worked this morning for nothing otherwise
MC Prussian Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Good news from other pitches across the country in the meantime: Stoke one up against Leeds.
FNQ Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 This could well work in our favour. Get it in the mixer!
lcfc_jme Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 I know this is the Southampton Match Thread but there isn't much action there.. Fulham (who we play soon) are 1-0 UP against Chelsea This can't be good news for us surely seeing as we're playing 'em soon??
JoeyB Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 the game is sounding like it could be on by the way they are talking on the radio 3:45 kick off :D
lcfc_jme Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Least the City fans haven't had a wasted trip down there Now hopefully the conditions will suit us because soggy pitches are normally nice to us
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 This suits us. Get Williams out the team and stick McCarthy in there.
