Geo V Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 Very possible, he is training with Arsenal to maintain fitness and Watford is pretty close so......... It makes sense as they have just sold a certain right-sided midfielder but why not ask to train with them instead of going to his old haunt?

Why would Matty Piper train with Leicester City? Dwight Yorke with Manchester United? It's the old haunt and connections that players use to regain/keep fitness when they need it. Get your fitness up, then go to another club to see if they're interested in you. At least if he goes back to Arsenal to train, he's under no real pressure, so he can regain fitness at his own pace. After all, if you go to a club completely out of shape, you'll be there for weeks training. Better to go for a week or two and make an impact rather than clutter the place for 3 or 4 weeks. We probably wouldn't have signed Danny C if he came to us straight from doing nothing... at least by playing for Grays he got some semblance of fitness to show.

Also muzzy might come back to be part of the new coatching staff because he loves the foxes and goes to all the away games. Leon Barnet is the subject of enquiries from Leicester. Milan Mandaric's mother is seriously ill and Mandaric has flew over puttin take-over talks on hold! However, Rob Kelly can bring in players like Holland, Hawley and Paul Terry from Yeovil becasue Mandaric is 100% possitive the deal will be completed. Chelsea want Eddie Pope the American defender. It has been revealled that Terry wants to stay at Chelsea even if Jose leaves. However, he will pull out all the stops to keep him at the club. Villa are going to bid 1million for Richard Stearman this week but the club will hold out because of Milan's takeover.

Fair point mate although loads of players go to clubs for fitness all the time and dont go back to there original haunts. I dont fancy Ray Parlour chasing the Arsenal kids around the park as he may feel to old and decide to retire in 3 weeks instead

Stearman, Kisnorbo, Johannson and Fryatt are the players who may be leaving, but short term loan signings are expected as replacements. You may find that Charlton are in for Kisnorbo for £1.5M + Holland on loan, Stearman to Villa for £1.8M, Fryatt to Birmingham for £1M and Johannson for a nominal amount. Make of it what you will.
