City Fan Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 http://colchesterunited.rivals.net/default...mp;stid=8435133 Hilarious!
luffbra Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 http://colchesterunited.rivals.net/default...mp;stid=8435133 Hilarious! Agreed ... worth a read. So impressed that Colchester fans, and also their manager agree the penalty shouldn't have happened...
Steven Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Why give him a Championship game Just run this query and see how many games he has ruined and how many managers have complained about him. It is not sour grapes as there so many complaints but rather his level of competence that is at issue. It is a complete joke that this guy can continue to referee games. <_<
Thracian Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Sounds to me like there needs to be an inquiry. He's like a blind man driving a car. You've know idea which way he's going to go next and who's going to be his next victim.
Daggers Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Just run this query and see how many games he has ruined and how many managers have complained about him. He is bloody good at ice carving though, give him his dues!
Maybes Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 I think McCarthy tickled Iwelumo and the ref fell for it. He was the worst ref I have even witness to be in charge of a game. BOTH sets of supporters thought he was a farce. Lastly there wasn't a dirty tackle in the game, yet the yellows were flying out of his pocket every 5 minutes!!!
Milky Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 it was still soft, but get your hands off his fooking shirt paddy you retard.
Colchester fan Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 it was still soft, but get your hands off his fooking shirt paddy you retard. Was that nicked off our site, naughty naughty, but I think it shows that your guy had a handfull of Iwelumos shirt and pulled him off balance, as well as kicking him in the back of the knee! Soft pen maybe and nowhere near as blatent as the one in the 1st half when the same guy held Chris back for a certain pen, you guys would not have seen that because he did it on your blind side. Oh well onwards and downwards for us I suspect
Guest Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 But referees are only suposed to give what they see and if something doesn't happen (as was the case according to Taggert), how the hell can you see it and give a penalty? Because the fans behind the goal said so. I don't care, basically Leicester should have won! We were Robbed! No we weren't. I think too often we rely far too heavily on poor refereeing to disguise our own inability to kill games off. Unfortunate as it was not to have the other two 'goals' count, I think those were the only two times we really threatened to Colchester goal. For all the possession in the first half, we should be creating more chances than we did. As for the second half performance, no matter how wrong a decision is, the best way of dealing with it is to pick yourself up and carry on regardless. What better way of saying up yours than to carry on ripping teams apart and getting the win fair and square? Our team at present doesn't do this, and it showed yesterday. As soon as they see the ref's a tosser, they give up. It's almost as if they feel that they won't win anyway so what's the point? It's the wrong attitude. fans on a colchester forum are saying they think mccarthy got booked twice So did my niece. It got confused because it didn't realise the job of captain is to whinge at the officials.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 So did my niece. It got confused because it didn't realise the job of captain is to whinge at the officials. Bit harsh!! Didn't see you yesterday Leesoh (we arrived as the teams came out and were so penned in we couldn't see f**k all. Could barely see the game itself and had no view of the bottom left corner of the pitch. Hope you and yours had a good day out.

We got right down the front, had to put Small right in front of one of the gates. We arrived at 2.00pm as well, but all the old farts wouldn't move out of the way for an 8 yr old. Luckily the steward near us was really nice and friendly, an example to be had, methinks. Small also had the disappointment of just missing out on the penalty shoot out; it was first reserve, I said typical, always on the bench, eh?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Yeh Fezz but you could see me which was the main thing. Oh was that you? I could see a spiky orange thing just to my left but thought it must have been a hedgehog that'd been Tango'd or something?? Glad you had a good day mate. :D

Fair enough prehaps we do, I know for a fact if the team play shite i'm the first to slag the players off and get abuse for "slagging the players off", "not supporting the team", e.t.c, and yesterday I didn't see the game so I can't say whether we played well or not, and I can't go off the "highlights" because it showed the goal/peno and that was it but the paper said we looked like a different team and on the radio we sounded quite good, and yesterday it really was down the referee that we lost 2 points yesterday. No matter what I say I can't win...When I slag the players of for not showing enough passion/fight to win the game I get people having a go at me, then when I blame the referee (Which I agree alot of people do just blame the referee when we lose or something goes wrong) I get that pointed out and people having ago at me...

Bloody hell Matt, don't be so paranoid!! I was stating an opinion, that I thought of after reading your comments!!
Cobbo Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Well bugger me, I've just watched the highlights on World and if that's a penalty then I am a Gigolo from Budapest.

Yea, terracing is fantastic  Did you see where people were putting their flasks as I imagine that would be a problem in a terrace?
Guest Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Yea, terracing is fantastic  Did you see where people were putting their flasks as I imagine that would be a problem in a terrace? It was quite embarrassing.
Joe. Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 What an utter disgrace that man was. The whole game he pissed the crowd off with his comical refereeing skills. The only way to describe him is incompetant. He never had control of the game and the stupid bookings got out of hand. What happened at the end with the red card just summed it up really.
Guest Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 The only way to describe him is incompetant.I disagree. I found several ways of describing him....
Simi Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 Just watched the higlights on Football League Review. What an awful decsion for the peno. Although the commentator seemed to think that it was a pen
