Monk Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 Hi all. I just thought I would share my latest creation with you - Monk's Worcester Wedges Excellent with almost any meal - I particularly like them with a good fillet of Monk's Monkfish Serves 2 Ingredients 4 Good sized potatoes Worcester Sauce 1 teaspoon Tomato Puree Olive Oil Tobasco Sauce. Pepper Cut up your potatoes into wedges. Whack the oven on 200 In a bowl, mix the wedges with the Tommy Puree and a splash of oil Add loads of worcester sauce Add a little Tobasco and pepper to taste Put in oven for 30 mins on a baking tray If you want to really push the boat out, I sometimes take them out 5 mins before the end and scatter grated cheese on top and let it go crispy. Give it a try, they go down a treat!

Dr The Singh Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 Ah right... one of THOSE marriages eh Singhy? the little woman get the pipe and slippers ready for you, perhaps a nice comfortable cardigan... I wish mate, like a father like yourself, the first thing that happens is that the kids grapple you, after that the 'moaning' begins, it's blah blah this , blah bah that, let alone the cardi!! Nah, she's alright the Mrs, seriously though she enjoys cooking, and as i'm so poor at it, she doesn't let me near the kitchen!!!
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 Might try it tonight. I usually do cajun wedges which go down a treat too, similar sort of idea, usually do them in a deepish dish though, you end up with some proper crispy wedges and some which have a little more oil soaked in and are just cooked. Mmm.

Daggers Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 I've been out all afternoon at work, done the weekly shop on the way home, collected the kids, made their tea, done the washing and now have 15 minutes before I start the woman's supper. I'm a new man, me. A new man that is treating himself to a load of lager tonight and not getting up in the morning.
