I reckon this is the member of the opposition side we should be looking to bribe with fags and booze, he's an Over-21 at heart. Age ain't nothing but a number.

I'll be like Bruce Grobbelaar minus the bald patch.

I hope to have the moustache by then though.

Anyway, under 21s:

PRESS RELEASE

NO EMBARGO

It is "now or never" for Manwell Pablo's squad who are playing for their very future.

With long-needed financial backing, Manwell Pablo's squad can expect a vast influx of new unfit players for the first and last game of the summer.

Manwell Pablo will try to set a base for progress but, at the same time, it is a big challenge to those already here.

Midefield General Dagenham Dave, The Guvnor - who has seen it all since the black and white television days, through the relegation struggles through to the takeover - is under no illusion of what is now required.

He said: "There are going to be changes in the summer so we have to play well and show we want to be part of it.

"You can't just drift along and it is a case of now or never. A new man has come in, his own goals and ambitions which will help to drive us forward."

"People have different ideas but you need to show you want to be part of it."

"There have not been many changes since Mr Manwell Pablo took over, but we all know a lot is going to happen in the close season - mainly more arguments with Thracian."

Manwell Pablo's squad are certainly looking to move onward and upwards next season, and it is up to the current crop to make sure they are not left behind.

There have been suggestions that the number of new arrivals could be in double figures, in all departments, so claims will have to be staked as much as possible until the end of the season.

But The Guvnor is not losing sight of the immediate tasks.

He said: "We realise we are four to six pints short of what we need, and we have eight pubss left to do it in. That is the immediate target."

"My attitude is others work hard for you while you gently stroll around the centre circle, make sure those pints come in as quickly as possible and see what the summer holiday brings."

I started life as a goalkeeper and was pretty good at that, until I just didn't grow enough.

I then became a dynamic box to box midfielder. It was in this role that I became a fixture for the Maidstone side. Unfortunately, I soon discovered beer and women and became (or tried to become) a Garry Parker figure, steadfastly refusing to leave the centre circle, spraying balls out of play in all directions.

As my demise continued and my fitness waned further, I found myself as a 5" 9 centre back and had to return to playing for Senacre Dolphins as Maidstone no longer saw any use for the unfit, fat loser that I had become.

5 years later, a lot fatter, less fit and no taller, and here I am at your service.

In my last competive outing, I played the role of attacking right back.

I played it so well, that after attacking the guy on the ball, I was nearly sent off after 20 seconds.

Magical stuff.

I can play the role of a Elvis Hammond but without the pace. No first touch, no skill, no passing ability, no real predatory instincts but Thracian will still love me and defend till death from any criticism!!!

Any particular reason this has been pencilled in for June 9th, Manwell? No complaints, just wondering how you'd come up with a specific date.

It's the first week I'm available after the season finishes and it's before most people **** off on holiday.

I'm favouring 4-4-2. Just like Rob.

Im thinking a defensive line of Apexgeo, TPH and Lord Nibblington.

And for some reason I'm getting the feeling we're going to need to play quite deep.

Don't worry, i've got no pace.

And no teammates as of yet
