The morning after...

Looking back at the performance yesterday, i feel apart from the result, the signs were good. Nigel Worthington shown passion. He did'nt sit down, he was on the touchline screaming at the players (something Rob Kelly did'nt do)

The team, apart from the odd mistake, played nice football. After around 70 mins the players just ranout of energy. That says alot about the fitness of the squad under Kelly! You cannot expect Nigel to change that straight the way.

A win and a draw should be enough to keep us up (hopefully as we are not going to beat Birmingham) But people are forgetting that Preston are 18th in the form table (even after their win yesterday) and Barnsley are 19th. Including a "win-able" game against Wolves.

I, yesterday felt the fear of relagation but we have had our bad form and now is the time to at least get a win under our belt. We are deep in a relagation fight now, booing and screaming wont help. We need to support the team even if they appear not to put the effort in or the team selections are arguable.

Next:

H Birmingham FLC

A Preston FLC

A Barnsley FLC

H Wolves FLC

I can see us getting points out of Barnsley, Wolves and maybe Preston :dunno: Its in our own hands. We have not been in the bottom three since week 2 and it would take this bad form to turn horrendous and alot of bad luck, lady luck did'nt shine on us yesterday (the pen, own goal, Kenton and Jarrett injured) Its got to stop someday. Why not now?

Brum - are players might raise they're game, draw at best but a defeat is on the cards.

We've not won at Preston since 1955, Results since, 6 loses & 5 draws, we'll get beat imo.

We have a good record at Oakwell and this game is massive and the one that will decide our fate imo.

Wolves - Jay Bothroyd will run are defence ragged although i reckon we could scrap a win.

We haven't won in x ammount of games and because we have a manager who stands on the touchline, we will now win most of our last four, albeit scrappy?

We deserve to go down.

Brum, one of the better sides in this divsion which means our players might decide to turn up. :dunno:

Preston have only lost 3 times at Deepdale all season. I don't see us taking anything from there.

Barnsley will be crucial and at the moment I can only see us picking up a point there

Wolves, we always seem to get something from this but yet again I see no more than a point.

i was worried yest and extremely nervous, but this morning i am even more nervous and have the worst feeling that we will go down :(

Getting back in from my leisurly pitch and putt golf yesterday to see the table and results made my heart sink. We are still in trouble but thankfully Southend and Luton look as good as down and only one can follow and hopefully the sides below us wont pick up too many points. I wouldnt rely on us picking up too many points after looking at that fixture list!

As for teh positives, I really cant comment on yesterday as I wasnt there but a manager jumping up and down (Mourinho and MON) or one who sits silently (Rafa and Wenger) makes little difference. Its a results business and Wortho has failed to gain anything from his first game which is a bad start. Maybe RK would have got us the win lol???

Worthington out!

fook off. Your pathetic, just get behind the team and wortho. We're 2 points off relegation with 2 teams behind us. Lawrie Sanchez lost his first game in charge of Fulham. Do you seriously expect a new manager to win every game FFS everyone loses and you can't expect him to win after only 2 days in charge. Some of the people on here are sad really

That's my point you pathetic, intellectually challenged fellow poster. :frusty:

Try looking up the words "satire" and "irony"

I never really expected us to win yesterday, though on the basis of the performance i was disapointed that we didnt at least come away with a point... still we played better than we have for months and that has to be a positive, he's had two days in with the team, they'll be training today i would hope and that gives him more time to get them up to par... it's still all comming down to the Barnsley game... yes our form is dire but yesterday we played well it was (if anything) the lack of fitness thanks to Kelly that scuppered us, we're in the same position as Hull and Leeds not any worse, indeed the game in hand suggests (at least on paper) we have an edge on them...

How many times have i said this, by putting worthington out! only you know you're being sarcastic but how can anyone else possibly tell by typing.

Well the people on this forum who are saying worthington has had his chance and he should go don't know what there saying.

i would like to be involved in this argument :D

i think you will find people who want him out, never wanted him here in the first place, not because we lost yesterday, although that doesnt help his case.

 . I just don't see him inspiring anyone to go out there ready for a relegation battle. We need people out there ready to throw themselves around and go into every challenge with conviction.

I wouldn't know - I rarely read your posts.

Maybe, instead of launching into abusive invective you could have tried engaging your brain?

Shortly after that you could have phrased it as a question instead of telling me to "**** off", calling me "pathetic" and then telling me I am "sad". Not that I give a shit what you think and am quite proud to be pathetic and sad.

Im sorry for what i said, but its just frustrating hearing some 'leicester fans' saying they want worthington out after 2 or 3 days in control. Im just a bit wound up at the minute. sorry

Some people are just too wound up at the moment.

Just be a little bit more sensitive, Dave.

Even if it's your birthday.

When you go

Don't ever think I'll make you try to stay

And maybe when you get back

I'll be off to find another way

When after all this time that you still owe

You're still, the good-for-nothing I don't know

So take your gloves and get out

Better get out

While you can

When you go

Would you even turn to say

"I don't love you

Like I did

Yesterday"

Sometimes I cry so hard from pleading

So sick and tired of all the needless beating

But baby when they knock you

Down and out

It's where you oughta stay

And after all the blood that you still owe

Another dollar's just another blow

So fix your eyes and get up

Better get up

While you can

Whoa, whooa

When you go

Would you even turn to say

"I don't love you

Like I did

Yesterday"

Well come on, come on

When you go

Would you have the guts to say

"I don't love you

Like I loved you

Yesterday"

I don't love you

Like I loved you

Yesterday

I don't love you

Like I loved you

No problems, the only thing I take less seriously than the internet is myself.

People judging Worthington by one match is hysterically funny - I believe we will go down now, we do not have the players to keep us up and the manager is now irrelevant.

It's time to start the party.

Now the sun's come up I just want Worthington to please, please, please, please, please, please, please play a proper attacking midfielder and stop trying to play a 4-4-2 system that's suited only to players we don't have.

Give me five more minutes.

I don't think he envisage having them after you'd finished with them, nobody not even DD relishes the idea of sloppy seconds.

Love the choice. Beautifully done. But in the hope of inspiring the uninspirable we have to have Kasabian at 7.40 on Tuesday evening. If we lose, then my Chemical Romance should be played at the final whistle, and we must turn our backs on the assembled fools and underachievers currently purporting to represent the mighty Leicester City.
