I can't do anything about it. It's either going to happen or it isn't. But at least this way I'm getting a few things off my chest.

Leicester City is not Alan Maybury. Leicester City is not Elvis Hammond. Leicester City isn't even Patrick Kisnorbo, Gerry Taggart, Muzzy Izzet, Gary Lineker, Frank Worthington or Davie Gibson. Leicester City won't be Iain Hume next season even if he's still here. Or the season after that. It wasn't Martin O'Neill when he was here and it won't ever be Milan Mandaric either.

Most of all Leicester City is not anyone who is taking any sort of pleasure from this. I've spent the whole day feeling almost physically sick at the thought of what might happen soon. Even last season I never had this feeling. Even when we were in the relegation zone. There was so much time left to put it right. Last season Kisnorbo, Gudjonsson and Fryatt in particular showed something that meant you could trust them to pull us clear.

I honestly don't see that in a single one of the current squad. Kisnorbo in particular has recently looked like a man who does not know how to cope with the responsibility of captaining a failing team. This is where we are really in trouble at the moment in my opinion. Even our five or six best players (demonstrably from this season) have absolutely no experience of being a part of a winning team at a decent level. They can't draw on that experience and the result is that there's no belief that they are capable of any better. Maybe they're not.

At the start of the season the main focus was on Tiatto and Maybury being our first-choice wingers. Well now we've got Porter on one side and Shaun Newton on the other. Better? Yes. We've got Fryatt and Hume up front, we've got Wesolowski in central midfield, we've got Kisnorbo and McAuley at the back, we've even got Logan in goal. These are the players we want in the team. And do I trust them to get us out of it? Do I ****. I don't mind them not being good enough, it's not their fault. But if they don't bust a ****ing gut to save us in these past four games I will never be able to forgive a single one of them. This isn't about them anymore. I'm sick of them saying they have the quality in the squad to see us through. We clearly, clearly don't. But we can do it through sheer determination and hard work.

Most importantly, anyone who genuinely treats the idea of relegation lightly is pissing all over what the players and fans achieved on 11th May 1991.

You know somthing... In all honesty, wether i agree with booing players or not.... i dont think many of the players realise how good they have it in life. It Seems like they are playing as if they have the weight of the world on their shoulders...

I would love to get them to come work with me for a day..

I work in the Children's Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Infirmary and if any of the current squad think they are having ' a tough time' or feel like they have a 'rough deal' they just need to hear one of the parents of the kids i help look after tell them what having a 'tough time' or 'rough deal' actually means. I may work there but even i dont have a clue what its like to have my kid in intensive care.. And then, on top of what the parents go through is the suffering that the kids themselves go through... My heart bleeds for them sometimes. it really does...

Sadly, (on fortunately rare occasions) the worst case scenerio happens. Real Heroes are the parents who can pick themselves up and start to rebuild their lives.

A group of fans have slated you after a poor performance. Boo hoo.

"Its really hard to get my form back, im suffering a little bit with my confidence." Boo hoo

Do they actually realise how fortunate they are to be getting paid alot of money for doing a job they love?

Ian Holloway, if you do read these boards and if you feel some of the players need a reality-check- get in contact. I can show them what a 'tough time' and a 'rough deal' actually is. Work with me for a day and i can show them how people struggle and cope with REAL problems.... They really should be playing as if they are as privilaged as they really are.... not as if they have a ball and chain round their ankles....

I have no clue if i'm allowed to say where i work or not , or if indeed i could get it trouble for saying the stuff i have said... it just makes me so annoyed..... :@

I'm off to Leicester in a minute. From there to Lincoln v Wrexham to see Brian Little, Gavin Ward and Louis Dodds. Then to Stoke tomorrow.

Having read that first post again, it just seems like its last year all over again... utter misery.

But lets keep our chins up! COME ON CITEEHH!!!!!!!! :scarf:

Please Ian Holloway, stop with your favourites, don't go on reputation, go on form, dip into the reserves if need be.

Don't play Clapham, play Mattock.

Don't play Howard, play anyone but.

& to whoever is in that starting 11, all I want you to do,

Is look at that crest on your shirt before you go out & play for it.

Listen to the roar of the 2,000 travelling fans & respond.

Give an honest shift to earn them stupid wages that you haven't deserved this season.

Give 110% & win every ball, no matter what.

Maybe most of you won't be here next season, but all of you have the chance to stand up, be counted & earn & hero status.

Just look at that table, see where you all have put us & fight for your lives to stop us going into League One.

Please, you all have the ability to do it, so for once in this rotten season, go against the odds, turn up & send every Leicester fan across the world into ecstacy, put this shitty season behind us so we can build for the future.

All I want you to do is care for the club that I love.

It's in your hands, don't fook it up.

If they couldn't be inspired by a full house at home last week, how can we expect them to be today?

Well they were in the first half, their heads just dropped after the equaliser.

Off to bed, need to be in the pub in 8 hours (seeing as I amongst many couldn't get a ticket, cnuts)

I'd be lying if I said something if some little part of me wasn't getting off on this in some sort of sick way. Games like this, it's whats football is all about in the end.

Whatever happens will still be there at the end. Those that truly care anyway.

Stoke City v Leicester City - preview

By Potters Reporter - 03/05/2008 18:51 Forget Hull City at Ipswich, it's all about what West Bromwich Albion do at Queens Park Rangers. In case you've forgotten, we're going for the title and all that stands in our way - is a woeful Leicester City side...

So, simply put, in just two words... GOARRRNNNN STOKE! Who gives a flying one what is happening below us in the table? Who really cares who might be in the play-offs, going down, or crying at 4pm this Sunday? Stoke City are going up - leaving these wretched Championship shores - and we want it to be with the title.

When the Sky cameras pan out on the Britannia, it will be the misery of Leicester City fans taking second stage and waiting for the two seconds of sympathy from the nation (ha, ha!) as Stoke City majestically cruise into the Premier League WITH the Championship title. You just know it.

Tony Pulis will have the fullest, fittest squad possible to thrash Leicester City with - and the only fly in the ointment for the game with the Foxes - was the untimely recall of on loan Premier League centre back Chris Riggott who went back to Middlesbrough on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ian Holloway's rag-a-tag outfit will be lucky to survive relegation after the Potters smash their East Midlands rivals to pieces. Hopefully, Southampton will beat Sheffield United at St Mary's and the miserable Milan and his millions will be flushed down to third division obscurity forever. What a tasty little bonus that will be come Sunday tea-time. Bring it on!

I SAY THIS TO EVERY LEICESTER CITY SUPPORTER!!

LETS GET THIS SHOWER OF SHITE OUT OF THE WAY & RELEGATED, SACK THE GUY WHO IS NOW OFFICIALLY WORSE (AND MORE HATED THAN PETER TAYLOR)

GET DOWIE IN AND HOPFULLY GET US BACK TO SQUARE ONE IN A SEASON'S TIME,

((BUT WITH A TEAM WE CAN BE PROUD OF))

BUT FOR THE NOW..FuK OFF CITY AND YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU GET THIS AFTERNOON.

WANKERS.

A quick message for the travelling fans: You guys (and girls!) have been amazing in supporting this club through thick and thin all season. I know you won't let us down today and you will sing your hearts out to try and lift the players to give of their best. If a ball could ever be willed into a goal - our fans would, i'm sure, achieve it today. I hope you all have a fantastic day and, ultimately, come away from the Britannia celebrating. I wish I could be there with you - but it's probably best I'm not as, whatever the result, I'd end up crying and embarrassing you all! I'll get pissed in private instead. We all know that, depending on the result, there's the potential for things getting a tad heated today - keep yourselves safe too.

I have the ultimate respect for those fans who support this club week in, week out... and who travel the country to the away games. :worship:
