Worcs have signed Tom Taylor to follow up the signings of Ethan Brookes and Rob Jones.

 

Taylor seems to have stayed fit and done very well for Northants so looks a handy signing and they seem to be backfilling some of their losses at least. Though Taylor seems to me perhaps more a slightly lesser and belated replacement of Barnard than one for Haynes, Brown, Tongue or Pennington.

 

Read in the BBC article for the Brookes signing that we're heavily linked with Ben Cox. He's a top drawer keeper and not a bad batter so I'd not mind that, writing on the wall for Swindells if he does come in though?

Agreed not sure the Arthur Daley approach the best way to go about it though

So there's no Hundred games on today. Instead of putting Gloucs vs Lancs in the One Day cup on TV, Sky just has loads of Hundred-related programmes lol

 

What a joke.

Don't know if it's just my bias against it, but it seems that pretty much every game has been on the free Sky Mix channel or even Sky Showcase this year too?

 

At times, you've got the same game showing on five different channels if the Beeb have it too!

 

Nothing about today's game on the BBC Cricket homepage either. North Korea Cricket Board's vision continues apace...

By the way, just put on the Glos v Lancs stream to check the score and the Glos commentators were just saying how today's game was much harder than the semi final v us. Hope some of our players were listening to that......

I make the squad for next season currently:

 

Batters/Keepers

Signed - Patel, Budinger, Hill

Out of contract - Welch, Steel, Evans

Unknown - Kimber, Swindells

 

All Rounders

Signed - Mulder, Ahmed, Trevaskis

 

Bowlers

Signed - Scriven, Hull, Finan, Salisbury

Out of contract - Barnes, Davis, Ramji

Unknown - Walker

 

Leavers - Ackermann, Parkinson, Lilley, Wright.

 

Of the out of contract or unknown contract status players I think only Kimber is a must to keep and I suspect we may need to use the second overseas slot on a fast bowler given Wright is off and that even with him here he has to carry the attack at times. I'd probably keep Evans and Swindells though mostly because I think it's preferable to have local lads for depth and I doubt there is better out there more than I can see them pushing the first choice XI which I think will be strong - Patel, Budinger, Hill, Mulder, Kimber, Ahmed, Trevaskis.

 

Ben Cox would strengthen us if that comes off.

Every game since it started has been on a free to air channel hasn't it? If not the BBC then Sky Sports Mix

Probably see no point, there's a Youtube stream anyway and anyone that wants to watch will just do so via that. Just means it's harder to stumble across if you're a neutral.

I guess so, but wasn't sure if that was meant to be the case. I thought some were going to be reserved for Sky Main and Sky Cricekt only.

I thought that was going to be the case initially as well, but pretty sure every game has been on Mix at the very least. This is from last years promotional article by Sky "Fans will be able to tune in to all 60 games live on Sky Sports’ dedicated channel Sky Sports The Hundred and Sky Sports Mix." 

Although pretty sure they've also streamed them all on YouTube this year, not sure if that's a new addition.

Yeah, feels like streams advertising their games are always popping up on my YouTube stream. It's also automatically switched to that after the end of Leicestershire games on YouTube a couple of times. Feel dirty that I've inadvertently added to its viewing figures.
