Let's hope the young guys step up, Green looks a serious prospect and Dean Headley's son could be the next bowler coming through. We will at least have a very short tail most games with LVB, Mike, Scriven at 7, 8 and 9.

We'll just draw a load again

Taking 20 wickets remains our biggest problem, but I'm encouraged by how much Scriven stepped up in Wright's absence last summer.

Hope that can continue, but I'm still not convinced we have enough firepower in that department.

I fear for us in the t20 competition this year. We don't have anywhere near enough big hitting power in the top order and Budinger is just a walking wicket.

We could easily pick up some half decent T20 players though and probably not for huge sums either.

might have to get a bit funky with the batting order and promote people like Mike and LVB. Josh Inglis was quality when we had him.

Only 5 1/2 weeks until the first game!

“…while this month Leicestershire appointed Pinto Capital with a view to selling a stake.

Leicestershire are understood to have had approaches from a dozen interested parties, with Indian businesses in particular attracted by the thought of investing in a city where more than 30% of the population has Indian heritage. There has also been interest from Saudi Arabia.“

Anyone got any more info on this?

Getting worse each year then?

Lost it all on Paul Stirling’s nutrition bill.

Yes up from £440k last year. Crowds for the T20 blast fell by 28 per cent

The £23 million won't last us that long then, if we keep running with an increased loss every year.

The obvious thing there is that the weather was atrocious for most of the blast. I can think of one game that was in sunshine and that was the same day England were playing in the euros, so I do have sympathy.

But ultimately the commercial side has to improve as the squad is pretty threadbare now as it is.

Certainly not with Jarvis in charge

Great to see Rishi extending his stay with the Foxes for another two years, he must have had other decent offers.

Pretty sure Durham had been sniffing. Their interest may have cooled after they signed Gay, though.

Mulder has just picked up his first IPL gig, signing for SRH in place of the injured Brydon Carse. Good luck to the fella, hope he does well.
