True, but for balance, three of our young players (Hull, Ahmed and Green) are way above the talent level of most of these under-25s, a good portion of whom will drift out of the game.  All three of them could be in the same England side in a couple of years.

That's very true.

 

2 England internationals with another seemingly on the way suggests the academy is managing quality over quantity!

 

Wood has had quite a few games this season and hopefully will develop into a solid county pro. He seems to bat a bit and bowl a bit and could do a lot worse than try to emulate Scrivo who is a similar style player but almost 6 years older. Scrivo probably only looked a county player at about 23/24 so Wood should be given time.

Seems from this article there are two options left on the table. Either keeping the championship as it is or two upper division groups of 6 and one lower division of 6. Not sure how the latter would be configured but I assume there'd be no relegation this season and two promoted teams, I guess that will have to be voted on.

Hull and Ahmed not totally from.the academy Ahmed was at Notts until.He was 14 Hull Northants until 16\17 not sure about Green hopefully home grown

Forgotten how good of a position we’re in in the championship. 21 points from our final 3 games will guarantee promotion. 
 

I would suggest the team in 3rd place won’t overtake what we already have but I want us to do it in style.

I know the agreement was 3 games but wonder if it was finals day dependent?
 

I know a lot of the Somerset players will play Monday to Thursday too so perhaps okay.

I don't see why not, he's only got to go back for next Saturday and he's been back and forth all season.
