The team I would like to see start for LCCC in the T20 would be-

Cobb

Sarwan

Jefferson (if fit)

Ali

Du Toit

Eckersley

Razzaq

White (the order from 4 -8 can change around depending on the state of the game)

Henderson

Buck/Malik

Hoggard

Boyce 12th man

The 5 main bowlers would be Hoggard White Buck Henderson and Razzaq with Cobb and Ali supporting with a few overs.

With the state of things at the moment I feel this is a reasonable side, but the top 3 must not get out cheaply if we are to score big, which we need to do as our bowling has been conceding runs in all forms of the game up to now.

Because 3 of there top 4 bats are Australian, Swarts, Cooper (Will play for Australia in tests in a few years) and Borgas (solid first class cricketer for South Australia)

They are an improved side but surely you can't be that drained for talent down there you are looking at players with first class averages of 36 to play in Tests?!

Are the likes of Berrington, Thornely and Mommsen allowed to play in the Twenty20?

Not sure if T20 is Thornleys type of game so guessing he wont play, Berrington has not played for us so assuming he wont play, not sure about Mommsen. Just read Jefferson is not playing which is a disaster, seems to be always injured these days. Can only see a defeat for the foxes in this one, if Cobb goes early were doomed, doomed. Could be a low scoring encounter with the weather as it is.

Awful effort by the boys, we're supposed to be defending our title. The main reason we collapsed is we don't have Mcdonald any more who stayed in the whole innings and stablised our batting order, Cobb needs to do this not get quick runs and get out.

Nah I think it is Sarwan who needs to do that role. I went the first T20 game against Lancs last year and we got well beaten, not quite as badly as that but there is a long way to go. However, that batting line up isn't good enough to score runs on a saturday club match.

Batting order was all wrong IMO. If Boyce is gonna play as a specialist fielder, he shouldn't be up there at 4. Sarwan and Cobb are the right choice to open, but the risk with Cobb is he gets carried away very easily. Rob Taylor can hit so should probably be above Eckersley, and there's no way Razzaq should be as low as 7.

Notts are one of the better teams in the group and it's still a bit of a lottery so we can still qualify, but a bit more thought needs to go into who does what.

I know he sort of got a nickname for it last year but if any side is actually playing a specialist fielder and it's not Jonty Rhodes they deserve what they get.

I didn't mean it like that was more amusing as none of them are truly Dutch, Swarts and Cooper were both approached just prior to the World Cup to represent Holland. Dirty Dirk Nannes was the same and went on to represent Australia after playing for Holland at a t20 WC. Cooper will be the same, he should play for Australia in the next 12-18months.

how the hell is phil whitticase still in charge of this team he does not have a clue and should be replacedas soon as. his record in county championship and cb40 is awful in these 2 comptions he as only won 4 games 2 in the championship and 2 in the cb40 with only 1 win this season that coming in th 4 day game. get rid know
