I think we should have mods for the mods

We do, they're called Administrators. I think some people need to stop complaining and get on with things

Censorship goes against freedom of speech, however something deemed offensive or provocative by one, could be seen as a harmless bit of fun by others.

I, for one, favour common sense.

I agree, i hate having to delete topics, only a few people make topics that have to be deleted. And they are not always deleted, alot of the time i merge threads into the other identical topic.

get off his back a bit, he's more sensible than a lot of other posters on here, and I'm pretty sure he has reasons to remove/delete/close threads when he does..

Censorship is not acceptable under any circumstances. ;) By the same token, abusing somebody or inciting hatred or violence and hiding behind the cloak of free speech is also not acceptable. ;) B)

Nice that you think so Colly  but I'm only a lowly Moderator (football only) and as such I'm subject to the scrutiny of those bloody Administrators, now they really do think they are gods gift to the forum. ;)

I drink in moderation, does that count for anything?

I must admit I don't post on here as much as I did, Hoof really got on my tits last week - he's supposed to be a moderator setting an example on the board, and he starts up a stupid thread having a go at someone, he deletes threads - that don't need deleting. Maybe he should have his own little section on here!!! - It would be quiet though.

this thread is interesting, yes mod's need mod's however, if we take the OS for example, with no mods, we see that threads that aren't important / useless / offensive usually get ignored or we reason with the starter!

Maybe this can be taken into consideration.

In conclusion, instead of replying to a thread to have ago at someone / insult them, perhaps we should instead ignore the thread!

After awhile the poster will get the point, and either post sensibly or move-on!

Basically, replying to a thread to insult someone, drives people on to post more drivel! it's their way of a back lash! I no i can be accused of posting shite, for which i'm sorry! however some threads are posted by accident in the wrong place or exactley on the same topic as others already started!

Live and let live, and stop naming names!
