davieG Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Him and the football world accuse us of being cheats and then he advocates administration as an acceptable solution for Leeds, not only that it must be the worse piece of editorial this side of the invention of the printing press. NB I didn't read it all as I got bored and and angry. From Sky.Time to for a Wise move - Kammy The imminent relegation of my former club Leeds United has rounded off an unbelievably terrible few seasons for this great club. From Champions League semi-finals to League One in the matter of six years! They are in disarray and are seriously considering the option of going into administration. If you look at Rotherham United, this time last year if they would have been heading down to League Two they would have taken the rap, they avoided it by beating the drop on the last day of the season. If they go into administration you can't blame them as they are genuinely paying the wages and trying to keep themselves afloat. If worse comes to worse they may have to go for it and they would have the option to have the 10 point deduction penalty incurred when going into administration this season as they are already heading down to League One. It has to be an option for them in order to pay the wages. Ken Bates must be thinking how on earth he is going to pay them and by going down this route at least they will know that they will be playing football next season. I would be surprised if a team like Leeds went that way but when you look at what has gone on at Elland Road this Millennium, you just never know. At the beginning of the season Kevin Blackwell would have been aiming to get to the play-offs at the start of the season. The one thing that he wouldn't have expected was that Leeds would be struggling all season. Especially when you've got David Healy, Richard Creswell, Robbie Blake and that calibre of players. It is just incredible that they have struggled at that level. Dennis Wise will believe that he could have done a better job this season. He had long enough to turn it around after taking over from Kevin Blackwell. I think he would hold his hands up and say he could have done better. There is a dividing line between success and failure and if Leeds were at the top you wouldn't batter an eyelid with the quality that they have in their squad. Wise has chopped and changed the team but that is understandable. It's like anything else when you are struggling - that's what you do. A few years ago I was a similar situation at Stoke where I only had 14 games to keep them up. When you are on that slippery slope you just do the best you possibly can to try and change things around. I don't think Dennis would have gone there if he didn't believe that he could have kept Leeds in the Championship. Although it will be hard for Leeds fans to do they must look ahead. Next season there will most likely be a complete overhaul at the club. They won't be able to afford to keep most of the squad as they won't be able to pay them decent money. A lot of the players won't want to play at that level either. Creswell and Blake are Championship players and Healy has the ability to play at the top level - he has shown that on the international stage. Why would they want to hang about in League One? Everything is up in the air at the moment. It needs a lot of discussion - people need to decide if they are still going to be there and, more importantly, if the club will be able to carry on. These decisions need to be made very quickly. Wise will do well to keep his job. Ken Bates has already shown that he will back Wise and you have got to admire Ken for that in a way. One thing's for certain is that Dennis will be willing to have a crack at bringing the club up. There may be changes as the club may feel that if it hadn't been for Dennis maybe they wouldn't be in this particular predicament that they are in now. I would be surprised if Dennis Wise is the Leeds manager next season. It would be a big ask for them to bounce back. The three teams that went down from the Championship last season (Crewe, Millwall and Brighton) are nowhere to be seen. That tells you that it's going to be a mammoth task. Peter Ridsdale has come out and asked the fans to forgive and forget. He has to accept his part in Leeds drop from the top but you can't blame him for the last couple of seasons. Leeds were still paying more money in wages than 80 per cent of the other teams in the Championship this year. That tells its own story. Maybe Ridsdale was the start of it all but it wasn't as if Leeds were the worst paid players in the Championship so how can he be responsible for that? That's an easy cop out for fans to blame Peter Ridsdale.
Katy Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Chris with a 'K' - nice touch I thought we'd all agreed Kamara is a grade a wank splat anyway.
mancunianfox Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 It amazes me how he has a job at Sky. But then most of Sky's pundits are really irritating.
Unit Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 It amazes me how he has a job at Sky. But then most of Sky's pundits are really irritating. the scottish football commentator does my head in, "tek a bow son", "oooohhhhh*orgasm*wharraagoooooleee!"
Koke Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Him and Andy Gray should just jump off a tall building and enjoy the view on the way down.
BartonFox Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 He keeps his job for the same reason Garth Crooks does.
Leonisco Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 He keeps his job for the same reason Garth Crooks does. Oooooooh, controversial.
BartonFox Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Oooooooh, controversial. It's true though although Garth Crooks does tick 2 of the boxes so the BBC feel really good about themselves.
Geo V Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 I used to dislike Kamara but I have come around to the idea that he is one of the dudes on TV that we should all enjoy and laugh at as apose dto laugh with. You`ve got to feel sorry for teh dude though as he gets all the shite gigs like D2 footy and the Masters tourney I must admit I dislike his sidekick on the Sunday morning show more than Kammy. That dude is so annoying and cant stop telling us that he discovered some lower league striker called Morrell who he met in his gym and he keeps tapping the table for some daft reason the plank. Also, shame on anyone having a pop at Andy Gray. The bloke is a legend. Tik a boo son, youuuuuuuuuuu beauttttttttttttty and other classics. Who next, Martin Tyler????!!

That was quite possibly the worst football related article I've read all year. If I called it a large pile of stinking horse manure, that'd be offensive to said horse manure.

Horse manure is very useful and can be used to cultivate things of natural beauty, I'm glad you put a after your analogy This as far as I got: At the beginning of the season Kevin Blackwell would have been aiming to get to the play-offs at the start of the season.

Ultra Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 Remember he IS an ex-Leeds player. We know he's an asshole, hopefully Sky will soon figure it out for themselves!
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 The blokes a walking quiz question. Such a bizzare career. He has to be the only person to have loan spells at Juventus and Margate within 2 years of each other.
Jay Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 I thought exactly the same what a top class wa*ker that bloke really is the way he has laid into us for the last few years has been nothing more than a disgrace constantly calling us cheats, saying that administration is for clubs in real trouble and not to do what Leicester did until...... it happens to his beloved Leeds and then everything is ok NOW if you ask me what Leeds have done is nothing more than a disgrace!!! so what happens with a cva and all that how was that organised they were called into admin and sold within 10minutes to the same people yet have no debt left this hole thing stinks if you ask me, something very dodgy has gone on but I bet this buffoon still wont say anything against the mighty leeds united
Chairman of the Bored Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Moron. Period.
