Kent Fox Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 I wish I lived in Leicester and not poxy Maidstone.Seriously, everyone here has Smallpox. That was sent over from Chatham. We all have it here
Ric Flair Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 F**k me that's good.Apart from I don't live in Leicester. But it's brilliant for you lot. Sign yerselves up. The pub is literally 30 seconds walk from Victoria bus station as well, where I presume that ends up. I think it would be naughty not to snap up that for 6 sniffs, and as you say if the boozer on the itinerary is only 30 seconds away from the bus station then that's a result. I reckon the whole day could be done for £75, which is less than half what I spent at QPR last season.
jonw88 Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Paul Anderson is on a season-long loan to Swansea for next year Where did you get this from? It's not on their OS???
Geo V Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Where did you get this from? It's not on their OS??? http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=& I knew they were interested but cant see he signed. Loanees did work for Sunderland, Derby and Birmingham last season so I hope we go for some but they would have to be at the standard that the aforementioned clubs targetted in players like Bentdner, Muamba, Evans and Lupoli. Its no good going for unknown kids from Liverpool IMO and I`d much rather go for players that we know a little about. Also it would be great if these players only had one year left on their deals like Larrson was as he ended up signing for Brum along with Muamba who did cost a fee.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Swans boosted by Anderson brace Paul Anderson impressed with two goals for Swansea on debut Swansea City opened their pre-season campaign with a 5-2 win in Sweden against FK Ostersunds. Wing Paul Anderson, 19 this month and on a season-long loan from Liverpool, grabbed a brace after half-time. Darren Pratley, Ferrie Bodde and Darryl Duffy, picking up as a permanent Swan from where he left off as a loanee, gave the Swans a 3-1 lead at the break. But Kevin Amankwaah, Kristian O'Leary, Alan Tate and Jason Scotland all sat out after picking up training knocks. The friendly, which marked the opening of the Swedish lower league side's new stadium, was the culmination of a week of training at altitude for the Swans. The squad returns to Wales on Monday, with friendlies to follow at Neath (18 July), Llanelli (19 July) and Port Talbot (25 July). Swansea then embark on their tour to Holland, which kicks-off on 29 July with a game against Stormvogels Telstar. He has signed for them, hes an excelent signing for them.
jonw88 Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 He has signed for them, hes an excelent signing for them. Goddamit missed out on him, if he keeps that sort of form all season then he certainly won't be an unknown for long. Also saw this headline on Swansea's page on SkySports: "Swans seal De Vries swoop" Got my hopes up thinking we'd got rid of him but unfortunately it was another De Vries, some goalie from a Scottish team! Actually MDV would probably make a better goalie than a striker!
David Villa Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 On this thread people keep saying Scott Sinclair, I may be wrong but didnt he break his metertarsal v Man United when both teams played their youngsters.

Nick Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Now please bear in mind that I understand that I am an absolute penis for even considering posting this tripe: Vincent van den Berg and Kieran Gibbs of Arsenal reserves to help strenghten Leicester's promotion push. Also, Ben Sahar currently in talks about a season long loan but Plymouth are interested. Allen will finalise all three on return from Scotland (This is from FR) 1. Sorry. I apologise for everything. (To include, Iraq, Bosnia, British Rail and general flooding.) 2. I thought to myself while reading and afterwards, "what a bag of crap." 3. And then an hour or so later I had a moment of weakness. I found myself on Arsenal.com looking at the reserve/youth team players. 4.VVB can play on the right wing, KG plays left wing / mid, BS is a striker.......Which fills the gaps a number of us are looking for. 5.Then it occurred to me that this is surely how the site functions preying on the needs of the weak. 6.Sorry again.

Jon25747 Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Would love Ben Sahar but i dont think its the type of player we would go for unfortunatly.
David Villa Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 If he did, that was nearly 3 month ago. Yea but surley you are out for longer than 3 months with a broken metertarsel.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 July 2007 Author Posted 25 July 2007 Yea but surley you are out for longer than 3 months with a broken metertarsel. Preston's David Nugent broke his fifth metatarsal in March 2006 and returned to action after being sidelined for just six weeks. I obviously copy and pasted that from an article about metatarsals, I don't talk like a newspaper.

Ow right suppose he might be alright then , i was just comparing him to Wayne Rooney because he was out for 2 n half months.
brookfox Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 I obviously copy and pasted that from an article about metatarsals, I don't talk like a newspaper. Ha ha! I had a friend that based his entire football knowledge on things he read in papers. Brookfox "Leicester played well at the weekend" Brookfox's weird friend "Yeah, Patrick Kisnorbo, 26, has been a rock at the centre of the Foxes back four so far this season"

If he did, this bloke is clearly one of the greatest people that ever lived.
David Villa Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Scott SinclairChris Eagles Cant see Chris Eagles coming, he has been breaking through to thier first team, Sinclair possibly but didnt Mourinho say that he wanted to keep him at Chelsea.
Jack Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Cant see Chris Eagles coming, he has been breaking through to thier first team Ye towards the end of last season he did, but now i can't see him getting a look in with Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson all signed.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 July 2007 Author Posted 27 July 2007 Paul Ifill from spurs???? Phil Ifil from Spurs or Paul Ifill from Palace?
pazey69 Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Phil Ifil from Spurs or Paul Ifill from Palace? good question ..the one who used to play for sheff u.
Geo V Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Gutted that a current International striker in Ben Sahar has gone to QPR of all teams. I reckon he`ll be awesome for them and I`d liked him to come to us. I'm sure we couldn't guarantee him first team footy like QPR but never mind. Danny Murphy from Spurs please??

Totally agree, been saying Danny murphy for ages! I think him plus a quality left mid and left back is all we need, a lot of money and a long shot but with this we would be right up there with the best squads in this division!
