Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 Michael Woods (Chelsea)Supposed to be a very good creative midfielder, I think he came on in the FA Cup versus Forest. Yeah, he did. I've seen him a handful of times in the past two or three years at England youth level etc. He seems fairly handy. Not all of these Chelsea youngsters are going to get into their matchday squad on a consistent basis next season - I can't see both Ben Sahar and Scott Sinclair being part of their setup for the whole of next season for example. Woods is a good shout.
a-fox Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 i think theres going to be allot of Serbian players coming are way.
act smiley Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 BTW I hope Cov havent got Walcott as mentioned. Pffft that doesn't matter - the rumour they're onto Tim Krul is far, far, more unsettling!

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 May 2007 Posted 9 May 2007 Daniel Sturridge or Ishmael Miller from Man City both have alot of potential, and Man City could look to farm them out to gain first team experience.
Joe. Posted 9 May 2007 Posted 9 May 2007 Whats Scott Sinclair going to be upto. Now there's a player I would love to see here next season We should try and get him without a doubt
mancunianfox Posted 9 May 2007 Posted 9 May 2007 Daniel Sturridge or Ishmael Miller from Man City both have alot of potential, and Man City could look to farm them out to gain first team experience. A lot of my city supporting mates really rate Daniel Sturridge and I think he would be worth a try if we could get him. He is strong and quick and I think he could do well in this division. Miller has made quite a few appearances for City on the left this season but I have been told he has been inconsistent. May ask a couple of mates what the chances of these players going out on loan are though.

Father Ted Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 How about someone like Beckham? Because the American league finishes when ours starts hes on about coming to Newcastle on loan. How about doing something like that?
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 How about someone like Beckham?Because the American league finishes when ours starts hes on about coming to Newcastle on loan. How about doing something like that? Please tell me your joking.
Bryn Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Please tell me your joking. I don't think he means actually going after Beckham... I think he means someone from the MLS other than Beckham. Still unlikely though, would probably cost a lot and the players wouldn't be that fresh anyway.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Howard Brown - Halifax Well, we are looking for players who give us extra.
Sparky Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 shane long and scott sinclair would be nice but i think long may start for reading next year so unlikley

But maybe not MLS, are there any other leagues that are similar and start and finish at similar times to the MLS?

Simi Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 How about someone like Beckham?Because the American league finishes when ours starts hes on about coming to Newcastle on loan. How about doing something like that? I don't think there are many just walking around in the MLS that are 'like' Beckham.
jonw88 Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Paul Anderson is a young Liverpool winger who must be 19 now, he's been at West Brom and Hull before he was snapped up by Liverpool. Didn't get through to the first team this year as they have so many wingers already, but has been brilliant for their reserves and has been on the bench for champions league games before. I went to school with him in Melton Mowbray and he's a local Leicester lad, so if Liverpool were willing to let him go on loan to us for the season or even we willing to let him leave he would be a great asset. he's pacey on the wings, something which we've lacked recently, skilful and can score goals from midfield too. He was a major part of the youth team that won the FA Youth Cup the other season, so he'd make a great addition if only a squad player. Definitely worth a look in my opinion as he will not get any first team action this year with all the midfielders Liverpool are buying. He was born in Leicester and so I'm sure he would agree to a move if only temporarily on loan. A link to his profile on Liverpool's website is here: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/anderson/ Cardiff are already showing interest in signing him on loan for the whole season, so we need to jump the gun and secure his services for ourselves or end up missing out on a hot prospect!
