Ric Flair Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I'm getting on this Ismail Miller bandwagon. A good strong player who would do very well in the championship. Wouldn't mind Daniel Sturridge on loan from Sven either. He's very well thought of in the blue 3/4's of Manchester. Sturridge is good, but at present a striker isn't top of our list. An attacking midfielder is and Miller fit's the bill. He's also good up front, but his best position is left wing from what I gather. He can sniff a beer or two as well.

Simi Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 We still have until 31 August so I'm not worried too much, like Ric said not that many prem youngsters have been loaned out as yet. Doesn't the loan deadline extend a little longer ? Or am I wrong?
Mort Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I'm getting on this Ismail Miller bandwagon. A good strong player who would do very well in the championship. Space for another on the bandwagon...? ...a leftwinger, strong, an eye for goal and a bit of speed... for a position that's effectively vacant, except for Porter or Hayes.
Brainy Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Doesn't the loan deadline extend a little longer ?Or am I wrong? Thats what I thought. Then again, didn't we loan Andy Welsh last October?
act smiley Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Isn't the extra loan deadline only for clubs outside the premiership? Or does that only count the destination?
lookwhaticando Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Isn't the extra loan deadline only for clubs outside the premiership? Or does that only count the destination? Clubs in the Football League (not Premier League) can loan players from other clubs (FL or PL) up until the extended deadline for loans. So the destination club is in the Football League, not the Premier League. Consider the case of Shaun Newton - he joined us from West Ham outside the standard transfer window (in early March, if I'm not mistaken). Premier League clubs can't loan players at all outside the standard transfer window - except in exceptional circumstances (emergency 7-day loans being permitted if a club doesn't have a fit/available goalkeeper on their books, for example - I think Everton used this at one point in the last year or so).

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I think we're going to need a new GK....what about someone like Tomasz Kuszczak, although I'm not even sure he's that good so actually let's just pretend I never posted this. I could just not post it but TBJS never goes back on his word

RowlattsFox Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 If Scott Carson goes to villa then Stuart Taylor might be available for loan, would people want him here again?
STUHILL Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 If Scott Carson goes to villa then Stuart Taylor might be available for loan, would people want him here again? Good shout, always liked Stuart Taylor. Still think we are being too hasty with Jimmy Nielsen. I think he will do alright for us! Danish mate of mine, says he is a bit showy, like diving for balls he could easily gather up, but he is solid enough, although he is running joke in Denmark because of his gambling!

ScrumpyFox Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 What about Scott Sinclair? - looks like plymouth are trying to get him back on loan again http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...yle/6955505.stm He may prefer to go there having spent a few months there last season, but its got to be worth a try? quick, skillful winger who plays on the left - just what we are in need of

Miller was the sort of player we should have tried to get as well. Sinclair is far more natural out wide left than the likes of Riordan, Robinson and Murphy as well. We need a left winger.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 22 August 2007 Posted 22 August 2007 Sinclair get him in would be a good loan signing, He will be a great player one day.

Surely if he went to plymouth he would be happy to come here? Get him in MA! (or MM )
