has matty ethrington gone anywhere yet i know he proberly wouldnt come here but i dunno :dunno:

callum davenport :dunno:

I'm not sure West Ham would want to let him go out on loan because he's decent cover for them but maybe with Dyer and Ljungberg arriving they might let him go :dunno:

He'd definatley solve our left wing problem.

Davenport is going to Norwich on loan apparently

I think we've all seen what James Beattie has decided to do today..

Point taken . Paid good money for him though at 4 million. Hopefully we are as good as prospect as them next season.

I see Gary O'Neil didn't feature for Pompey on Saturday.

He may be worth a punt for us. We need a touch more creativity in midfield and he could be the one to provide it.

Gary O'Neil

You're joking right?

We couldn't even get him here, let alone on loan.

What has he done wrong anyway? He's been a first team regular at Pompey for years.

Derby had a bid rejected for matty ethrington a few weeks back so I don't think they would accept a loan bid.

I saw today on sky sports that paul Dickov has been made available I woudn't mind seeing him back here.

If you check out Dickov's scoring record last season you will know why Sven is getting rid!

We're looking to shed deadwood, not add to it.

We could play him at centre back.

Im sure you would take Darius Vassel but if you remeber Man City didn't score a goal at home since about march so it wasn't just Dickov not scoring

In the Premiership.

I suppose he could be good in this league but he strikes me as someone who may not pull in the same direction as his team, especially if he is in a barron spell. I just simply couldn't imagine him chasing around, hassling defenders like Hume and Campbell (hopefully) will.

I could be totally wrong of course. :dunno:

I think you could be right. I just have a bit of a thing about people labelling players "crap" or "rubbish" based on a poor season at Premiership level like Ultra just did with Dickov in another thread. These players could easily do a job for us, it's just that we already have similar, younger and hopefully better players like Hume and Campbell at the moment.

I'm kind of pissed off that we haven't signed a couple of decent long-term loans with just three days to go before the start of the season. I'd have thought we'd have them in and bedded down if we were going to get anyone.

Is this a reflection on the pulling power of MAMM or just Premiership clubs reluctance to send out talent? :dunno:

I haven't seen many players from Premiership clubs go out on loan yet, I think Premiership clubs like to wait until a little later on as they want to make sure they've got all their quota of signings in first.

The only one off the top of my head that i'm annoyed we've missed out on is Paul Anderson from Liverpool who's gone to Swansea.

I'm getting on this Ismail Miller bandwagon. A good strong player who would do very well in the championship. Wouldn't mind Daniel Sturridge on loan from Sven either. He's very well thought of in the blue 3/4's of Manchester.
