Stuliasz Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 - Not much to do but did what he had to well Maybury 7 - Solid but nothing special Stewart 5 - OK overall, but needs to sort out his crossing Dabizas 7- Superb first half, too many mistakes in the second Heath 6 - Dabizas was left covering for his mistakes too often Gillespie 8 - Looked threatening in patches and took his goal well Tiatto 6 - One of his poorer games for me, but still gave 110% Gudjonsson 5 - His good work in midfield was overshadowed by too many bad things Williams 6.5 - Too anonymous while on really Connolly 7 - Worked hard and linked up very well with De Vries Scowcroft 6 - Worked harder than he has been doing but De Vries highlights his lack of quality. Subs: Nalis 6 - Did little wrong, but did not really get into the game De Vries 6.5 - Very strong, and is an excellent link up player Hughes 6.5 - Didn't have much chance, but seemed to slot in there pretty well.
adam Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 - usual self Maybury 6- pretty average Stewart 3- useless. sack him Dabizas 5 crap Heath 3 - wheres stearman? Gillespie 8 - very good Tiatto 5- worst hes played for us Gudjonsson 5 - not getting any better Williams 7 - best midfielder in 1st half Connolly 7 - played well Scowcroft 7- looks better than de vries Subs: Nalis 4- shocking, any point in bringing him on? De Vries 6 - not the best Hughes 7- looked good

MON Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 Dabizas 7-Did well, apart from that backpass. Heath 6 - Not strong enough to be a defender. Stewart 6-good at the back. Awful going forward. Gillespie 8 - Give him a new contract. Tiatto 4- not one of his better games. Gudjonsson 4-same as above. Bad sportsmanship. Williams 6.5- Did okay. Connolly 7 - Tried, but no service. Scowcroft 6.5 - did okay. Subs: Nalis 7 - Some good passes. Strangely subsituted. De Vries 7 - did well until he got injured. Hughes 7 - did well.

Matt Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 - Not bad, but not much to do - Which is no bad thing! Maybury 7 - 1st time i've seen him, impressed. Stewart 6 - One of his better matches I have seen - But last time I saw him play was before Christmas due to me going on holiday/not able to get to matches. Dabizas 6 - Abit shaky.... Heath 5.5 - Same as Dabizas Gillespie 8 - One of our better players today, he's improving bit by bit. Tiatto 5 - Pretty poor, probably the poorest proformance i've seen from him. Gudjonsson 5 - Same as Tiatto, although he shown no fair play, there no rule on fair play Williams 5.5 - Not his greatest proformance, hardly noticed he was on!! Connolly 7 - Worked hard and linked up very well with De Vries Scowcroft 4.5 - Theres improvement but he's still very poor, he had chances and didn't take them again! Subs: Nalis 6 - Did well but nothing special. De Vries 7 - 1st time i've seen him, very impressed, he's twice the player Scowy is and De Vries isn't even fully fit(is he?) Hughes 6.5 - Should have probably come on earlier, but its all "Ifs and buts" impressed with him though.

City Fan Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 - Solid game, made a good save, could do nothing about the Crewe goal. Maybury 6 - Probably his worst game in a Leicester shirt so far, didn't push forward as much as I would have liked. Stewart 3 - Shocking, couldn't pass, couldn't cross, too scared to tackle. Dabizas 6 - Played quite well first half, too slow, I always feel nervous when he has the ball. Heath 5 - Didn't perform well at all, should have defended better for the Crewe goal. Gillespie 7 - MOTM, made some good runs. Tiatto 6 - Didn't do much all game, tried hard. Williams 7 - Went forward well, was shocked when he got substituted, especially for flippin' Nalis. Gudjonsson 6 - Usual average performance. Scowcroft 5 - Hardly noticed him, can't wait till he leaves the club. Connolly 7 - Gave it his all again, shame his strike partner was crap. Subs: Nalis 5 - Far too slow, can't see why he came on at all. De Vries 6 - Good first touch, but can never seem to get the shot in. Hughes 7 - Looks a very promising player, good passing, good tackling, shame he didn't play the whole match.

Anish Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker 7 Maybury 6 - his poorest game in a Leicester shirt, nothing really worked for him and he wasn't going forward enough Dabizas 5.5 - rubbish, gives me no confidence at all. Heath 5 - even worse. His defending for Crewe's goal was a textbook example of how NOT to defend in the penalty area. He wasn't strong enough today and his positional sense and reading of the game was abysmal. Stewart 5 - very poor going forward. His crossing was a disgrace and I have to wonder what on earth he does in training. His defending wasn't that bad but considering that Crewe hardly attacked us and his job was therefore to help the attackers, he was useless. And people think he's a left winger? Not with crossing like that I'm afraid. Gillespie - 6 - did alright, some good bits and some bad bits. Couldn't really miss the goal when he was only 6 yards out. Gudjonsson 6.5 - his shooting lets him down big time. He should learn to keep his head over the ball and keep the ball down. Other than his shooting he was impressive - made a few good tackles and his distribution has improved a lot. Williams - 5.5 - anonymous and goes missing whenever there is a battle. Not too impressed to be honest. Tiatto - 4.5 - appalling today. By far his worst performance in a LEicester shirt. His passing was woeful at times and he didn't inspire any confidence as a captain. He didn't get stuck in and win many challenges and yet again his lack of positional discipline was exposed. Scowy - 4 - waste of space. Get rid. Didn't win any headers and his control was shocking. Plus he is so slow on the ball and is never in the right place at the right time. Connolly - 6.5 - did well again, considering that he didn 't have much help from Scowy. He tries to do something and makes good runs off the ball, and he works tirelessly. Subs: De Vries - 6 - disappointed in him. Yes he did some great tricks and had a few good touches and he is miles better than Scowy, but he looks just as slow as Scowcroft and he seems to have learned the art of heading without jumping from the school of Dion Dublin. He never jumped even once whenever the ball was played long, instead preferring to try and hold off the defender and control with his chest/feet Learn to jump ffs. I'll give him credit for causing havoc that led to our goal. Nalis - 5 - did nothing when he came on. Hughes - great display, passed it well, kept the ball, good movement and nice touches on the ball.

davieG Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Walker - 5 average performance, doesn't command his area, looked as slow as normal to react to the action. Maybury - 6 not as good as previous games 1 or 2 good touches but disappointed Dabizas - 4 I'm sorry I just do not rate this guy at all Heath - 5 I actually thought he was better than Dabizas, Ok he got turned for the goal but there were plenty of opportunities for others to prevent him being exposed in a 1 on 1 Stewart - 5 went back bit from his previous improvement, crossing was erratic although did provide the cross for the goal, I think Gillespie - 7 some nice plays but not as good as recent performances Williams - 5 some nice touches , was trying to get 'stuck in' Gudjonsson - 3 admittedly he tries hard but his distribution and shooting is the pits Tiatto - 6 worked as hard as anyone, a few good plays but things just didn't work for him Scowcroft - 6 same as Tiatto worked as hard as anyone, a few good plays but things just didn't work for him Connolly - 7 pretty good game but improved considerably when MDV came on Subs : De Vries - 6 tried hard, 1 or 2 nice touches not quite 'match fit' looking forward to when he is Hughes - 6 looked like he may be a good buy some nice control and movement Nalis - 6 thought he slotted in quite well considering he came on 1/2 way through and that Joey and Dabizas where so poor, but I suspect Hughes will prove to be better.

Benji Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Heath - 5 I actually thought he was better than Dabizas, Ok he got turned for the goal but there were plenty of opportunities for others to prevent him being exposed in a 1 on 1 63267 Wow by this point of the thread i'd given up hope, nice one davieg Makes me laugh, Heath made two big mistakes today and was very poor i agree, the goal and the time Dabizas had to make up for his mistake. But did i imagine Dabizas and Tiatto both giving cr*p backpasses or do people rate their scores on reputation? As for the goal, it came from a free kick didnt it? where was the midfield to stop a ground ball coming straight in, where was the second man cover? The scorer was bloody dangerous today and took the goal well, if Henry had scored you'd have said it was a great turn and finish. Walker 7 Maybury 7 Stewart 5 Dabizas 5 Heath 5 Gillespie 7 Tiatto 5 Gudjonsson 5 Williams 6 Connolly 6 Scowcroft 4 Subs: Nalis 6 De Vries 6 Hughes 7
Who ate all the pies? Posted 6 February 2005 Posted 6 February 2005 on Heaths positioning for the crewe goal...he was screwed, Dabizas and stewart left him open and no matter where he was the guy was going to get a shot in. The defending as a whole was crap. We should have had at least two penatlies for fouls on Devries (who was very good). I'll give my ratings tomorrow, after the alcohol has left my system!
Solihullfox Posted 6 February 2005 Posted 6 February 2005 Walker- 7 - Not a great deal to do but solid enough Maybury- 6 - Strange today, didn't seem himself, very quiet Stewart- 6 - Work on your crossing all week Jordan. Dabizas- 6 - Good 1st half, back to his normal self in the 2nd Heath- 5 - No positional sense, attackers get in front all the time. Tiatto- 6 - Not his best game but marked for his effort Williams- 5 - Didn't turn up Gudjonsson- 4.5 - Does he do anything well ? Gillespie- 6 - O.K. performance, got in well for the goal Scowcroft- 4 - Oh dear Connolly - 7 - Tried his best yet again Nalis- 5- Not relly effective De Vries - 6 - Still convinced this man will be great when fit Hughes - 7- I know it was his debut and you would expect him to look keen but this bloke looks as though he CAN play football. Found and made space with balls into players who consequently could run into gaps made by Hughes's passing. Overall, better than under Adams but still struggling to break teams down and rushing the final ball when we get in behind teams.
foxesfan69 Posted 6 February 2005 Posted 6 February 2005 How come Heath thinks it is not a foul when you have your arms all over the attacker?
davieG Posted 6 February 2005 Posted 6 February 2005 How come Heath thinks it is not a foul when you have your arms all over the attacker? 63385 Probably learnt it from Dabizas and no-one seems to have told him either
