Nath Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Yep. Grand more a year for me. Appenticeship for me....£3.88 starting pay. But it increases every so often with qualification etc... Not bad for a 16 year old i suppose

Not bad for a 16 year old i suppose Yeah the first year of my apprenticeship I was out of work in my second year I got my job and was on £3 (Shocking really was, under the minimum wage but on apprenticeship the minimum wage law goes out the window - How pathetic is that?!) anyway I moved on because I was learning nothing there but found another job they offered me £4 an hour and coming from 3 was quite good, anyway last christmas I was given a rise of £1.50 take me to £5.50 last summer I finished my apprenticeship and asked my boss for a rise (Because basically I was expected to do more jobs, e.t.c, and I was now qualified) so he gave me £1 rise take and then this christmas I was the only one that recieved a rise other than the standard cost of living and I got 70p. So rise come regularly and very good once your out of the apprenticeship, I am now on £7.20 which isn't that great I spose, but going on the regular rise's I have got/am getting I am fairly happy.
