Went to Enderby to see an audience with Walsh,Elliott + Mauchlan last night and Walshy told a few home truths. 1. Savage is a pr-ck he kept saying. Reckons no players liked him and the only reason he looked good was because he ran like a magnet for the ball and was noticed because of his long hair. 2. He actually said i want to put the record straight about the " shagggging Elliott's missis " rumour. He said no truth in it whatsoever to which Elliott replied " I know it wasn't you because Tag's said it was him " which made everyone laugh. He didn't deny shagggging Prior's though ! 3. Said Taylor was a complete tvvat who offered him money to leave the club and when Walsh said he didn't want to leave offered him a stupid amount just to get him out of Leicester as he felt threatened by his presence. 4. Also said when Savage found out the rest were on more money Savage went in and got a new contract as Taylor was that soft. 2 months after Savage had a storming game for Wales on the TV and the papers were raving about him and he went in again and got another improved contract only to leave the following summer.What a self absorbed pr-ck he said.Also Mauchlan said he'd criticised Savage on a radio show and Savage wasn't happy and wanted Mauchlan's mobile number to meet him but they knew Savage would get battered so no one would give it him. 5.When Taylor took his 1st training session he paired Walsh and Akinbiyi up to pass the ball along the floor 10 yards to each other. He said Akinbiyi couldn't even do that and he knew then he'd be crap. 6. Walsh also said he was in a nightclub the night Leicester got beat 4 - 2 away at Stoke and he saw 5 players ( 2 who had started ) pizzed and laughing and generally not giving a toss. He said all the current players bar Kisnorbo and Hume were vvank. Sorry to ramble but i thought i'd share just a few with the board even though there were plenty more.

If the club can find a role for Alan Birchenall (who won jack for the club as a player) they should surely be able to look after someone with true legend status!

AoWW Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 It won't be in PR by the sounds of it. Scary thing is, rumour has it he's in the process of setting up a events and promotion company, which is really rather similar to PR! Though it's probably preferable to him trying his luck in the diplomatic corp!

Just look for a bloke that has his flies open and is (probably) touching himself when he sees the LCGS. And before anyone thinks of calling their solicitor (in a Nazi style) I am simply warning Jamie that people like this exist and he should watch out for them in public places.
Shipman Out Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Walshie is indeed a LEGEND no doubt, but he was not as good a player as he or most City fans think he was, but a Legend a cult hero. But to say Savage was shite and only looked good cos of his hair and chasing the ball all the time is bollocks! Savage was quality for us (eventually) especially was the turd Taylor sold Lennon Savage gets a lot of abuse which shouldnt come from any City fans him Lennon and Izzet were superb one season i went home and away and the only Midfield who i saw get the better of them were the then Arsenal centre Midfield of Viera and Petit. I do believe that Walsh should get involved in the Club again if he fancies it and his comments about the current crop of players are spot on! (put the then Robbie Savage into out team now Mr Walsh how much would he stand out!)
