James. Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Heroes S.2 and Sopranos S.4Why don't we make quality programs in this country? I've been watching season 3 of 24. After nailing 8 episodes yesterday I spent all of last night dreaming I was part of the show and might have caught the virus. I want to be a CTU agent. And I want to sit opposite Kim Bauer. If not that then a night in a cell with Nina Myers would do.
Ric Flair Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Auf Wiedersehen Pet Series 1 & 2. Still 25 years on and nothing been made to rival it.
Master Fox Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I watched half man half tree last night. Did anyone else see this? Pretty sad really, this guy from the US went to try and treat him by running tests, but the guy declined to meet after he had the results and a source of treatment so he could carry on performing in this clan of freaks to earn some money for his family and his two children. I've never seen a group of people quite like this. You had to see it. Just shocking
Dr The Singh Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I watched unreported world, which gave a true insight on India and how it's growth has doen nothing to help the overall people, still 90% of India has no drinking water, over 95 % is still uneducated, and over 90% is still living well below the poverty line!! And it's human rights violations are still some of the owrst in the world!!! http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/ontv...n+people/830447 India: The Broken People Friday 21 September 7.30pm India may have a booming economy with a soaring stock exchange fast growing technology and services sector, but it's built on service of a much more unpleasant kind, as this week's Unreported World reveals. WATCH CLIP India may have a booming economy with a soaring stock exchange fast growing technology and services sector, but it's built on service of a much more unpleasant kind, as this week's Unreported World reveals. Reporter Ramita Navai and Producer Siobhan Sinnerton travel through India exposing the horrific plight of the country's 170 million Dalits; Literally meaning "the broken people" - and previously called "the untouchables", they are at the bottom of India's caste system and are some of the most oppressed people on Earth. Economic growth has done little to improve the Dalits' lot; despite legislation, they still form 60 per cent of all those below the poverty line. Now, as Unreported World reports, Dalits are starting to fight for political power in an Indian civil rights movement against segregation every bit as bad as apartheid South Africa and the 1950s American South
Rincewind Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Watched Calendar Girls then a recording of XXX. James Bond has got nothing on on that man. An anachist weorking for the American secret serrvice. Jumps out of a plane with skis on and lands perfectly then has time to bed a few women in between. TBH it was a bit OTT but if you ignored that fact there was a few good action parts. I reckon some scenes were nicked off James Bond. Especially at the end where his bosses are trying to talk to him over a saterlite video while hes bedding a woman. Similar to the JB one where he is in a spaceship at the end and M is contacting him. Calander Girls was quite funny. Based on a true story about a group of WI women who posed nude for a calendar in order to raise moner for leukemia after one of their husbands dies. They only wanted enough for a sette and so far have raised enough for a cancer unit as well as the settee. I think its in the region of £530,000
hairy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Watched the Golden Compass over the weekend. What a bag of shite that was.
Dr The Singh Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I watched the latest Rambo movie, i'm surprised Sly didn't get an oscar nomination for his acting!!!
AoWW Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Will be watching... Shameless tomorrow night (following on from Mistresses - well, a bit of slushy, raunchy stuff has to be done from time to time!!!) Quite enjoying Masterchef when I remember to watch it. Ironic, considering my abysmal culinary skills. I hope that by watching inspirational cookery programmes, some of the skills will transfer themselves to me by osmosis - sadly, it doesn't seem to be happening. Takeaways rock!
LeeCovFox Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I've been watching season 3 of 24.After nailing 8 episodes yesterday I spent all of last night dreaming I was part of the show and might have caught the virus. I want to be a CTU agent. And I want to sit opposite Kim Bauer. If not that then a night in a cell with Nina Myers would do. I have spent far too many of my sleeping hours being Jack Bauer. I managed 15 episodes in a day once, season 5. My favurite season too, although I've enjoyed them all. Season 7 promises to be very different from the trailers I've seen.
