northern fox Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Into (NOTW) leicester city are linked with coventry and wolves to land the 23 year old from rivals forest i know this season we are being linked with every player who plays professional football but what do you all think ?
Gené and Tonic Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 lazy journalism, he's out of contract, perhaps wants to stay in the area. So they've put down those clubs. I wouldn't mind him here though.
Mort Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Jarvis is better... but wouldnt say no, but as Burt says it seems like a case of a journalist puting 2 & 2 together and getting 5.
lee7 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 he would be a good player to have especially if he can score more than 10 goals from midfield
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 he would be a good player to have especially if he can score more than 10 goals from midfield He would be an improvement on last season's shite if he can score more than 2 goals from midfield!
dog_4 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 it looks has if we will have some quality width in our squad for next season if people like jarvis,t. sinclair, commons and portor are on the scene.
Brainy Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I hope the people who doesnt want to see Commons here has a better reason than ' Hes a Forest player '.
City Fan Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Please.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 He can be lazy, but we all know MA won't put up with any lazy attitudes, I wouldn't be too unhappy if we were to get him, he CAN turn a game and we've lacked a player since Muzzy who can do that
Simi Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Wouldn't mind Commons here at all. From what I have seen of him this year he's looked a very capable player. But as Burt says it's probably just lazy journalism.
city1993 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 He's a cracking little player, however it's a real shame he's from forest, but yes lets get him in, he can play left wing !!
pazey69 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Get him in, he's a class player. Just what we need i think.
Brainy Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Commons - Hellings - Someone - Jarvis Wesolowski for the someone?
Stuliasz Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Commons would be a quality signing. He has proved himself (when fit) at this level and Forest's dips in form always seem to coincide with him being out of the team.
General Smuts Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Solid signing, exactly the type of player we need in the team. Alongside Jarvis, Murphy, Campbell Ryce etc the midfield is looknig like becoming priority for Mad Dog which can only be a positive thing.
SystonFox Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Solid signing, exactly the type of player we need in the team. Alongside Jarvis, Murphy, Campbell Ryce etc the midfield is looknig like becoming priority for Mad Dog which can only be a positive thing. i agreed with you up untill you mention jerome cambell reece pudding. he wouldnt be a good player for us. Jarvis and Murphy wil be great but i dont think we'd get Murphy.
Hoof Fox Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Commons would be a quality addition to the squad, especially when you compare to the dross we have endured over the past 3 or so seasons. My biggest concern would be the tendency of our loving supporters to use Commons time at Forest as an excuse to berate him and turn him into the No 1 scapegoat. Commons is a gifted and talented footballer but is not renowned for his defensive qualities or lung busting work rate and much in the same way that City fans never really took to Gareth Williams I can see Commons suffering the same.
BartonFox Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I hope the people who doesnt want to see Commons here has a better reason than ' Hes a Forest player '. Seeing as I hate Coventry much more than Forest, I'll give you an unbiased reason why not. He is a show pony who couldn't keep posession of the ball if his life depended on it. He was shown up by Aaron Davies of Yoevil in the play-offs, Davies was a far more complete player and will have a far more successful career than Commons. However, if Allen reckons he's worth the punt and can make something of him then great. But he wouldn't be on my list.
General Smuts Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 i agreed with you up untill you mention jerome cambell reece pudding. he wouldnt be a good player for us. Jarvis and Murphy wil be great but i dont think we'd get Murphy. I meant that he (Jamal Campbell Ryce) was a midfielder weve been linked with which is positie and not that i especially wanted him at the club. Although saying that id still take him in the squad over hughes/tiatto/johnson anyday of the week.
NFFC Chris Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Please please take him,I've lost my patience with his lazyness and he sums the attitude up of our team at the moment,he's good on his day but very rarely produces,he had his best spell towards the end of the season, but me thinks he's putting himself in the shop window,a Gareth Williams type player!

Indeed, and I suspect Allen knows that. He doesn't strike me as the type of player Allen will sign.
The People's Hero Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Not Allen's type of player. Wouldn't really want him here.
Simi Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Just spoke to my Uncle who is a Forest season ticket holder and he said "Take him, please" He's not really rated much up there anymore, his laziness is a big problem for him, he's often spotted out in Nottingham aswell on the piss. Sounds like he'd fit in well.
