THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 another good'un is napalm deaths lovely rendition of Nazi Punks Fvck Off by the Dead Kennedys sounds delightful
Unit Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 All along the Watchtower - Hendrix covering Dylan One of the best covers ever, on par with Jeff Buckly doing Hallelujah. There's one song I always bring up whenever somebody mentions covers but i just can't think of it! :frusty: Editttt: I remember now, it's Joe Cocker doing "A little help from my friends" done first by The Beatles, apparently Paul McCartney said he preferred the Cocker version
Jay Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 I fought the Law covered by The Clash also has to be up at the top of this list for best cover version, and The other way round when The Dead Kennedys covered it!!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Best Cover VersionI Fought the Law by The Clash Too many worse to mention but I think Katie Melua deserves another one for murdering Just Like Heaven YES I didn't realise that biyatch covered that.... I AM ANNOYED... and to the band that covered their Love Song track (A BIG FAMILY FORTUNES "X")
NorthernFox Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Love Nightwish's Phantom but Numero Uno for me is Placebo with Running Up That Hill. Anything involving Louis Walsh tends to be very bad.
Alexikokopops Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Viva Las Vegas by the Dead Kennedys. Always makes me think of Fear And Loathing...
Simon Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Love Nightwish's Phantom but Numero Uno for me is Placebo with Running Up That Hill. Anything involving Louis Walsh tends to be very bad. I think Within Temptation's is better...
NorthernFox Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 I think Within Temptation's is better... Just found it on YTbe - very different. Didn't know they had covered it and I do like WT. Molko's melancholy still edges it over her passion.

The Donnas-Don't Break Me Down Machine Head-Message In A Bottle Korn-Another Brick In The Wall Crappy covers: Anything by shitty pop bands/boy bands/girl bands
