davieG Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 From yesterday's programme. Re Post Horn Gallop 'A word to the supporters who might be expecting me to change everything, everything and everything. I have listened to Post Horn Gallop and i love it! I'm having that!' Re Mike Stowell Mike has rejoined after he was sacked towards the end of last season. I have no problem with that and he had no problem about rejoining after he'd been given the boot. Re Programme notes I don't normally and I wont this season give special welcome to opposing teams. I don't see the point in writing patronising notes when at 3pm it's my sole aim and intention to beat them. I'll shake hands quickly and then get on with the job. I don't care about the other teams or their supporters or staff, just my team, my staff and my supporters. Also they don't have the 'team' on the back the have a 'squadcheck', nice touch I thought.
Simi Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Welcoming the other team is something Rob Kelly specialized in, he took it to far at times though.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 I know some of you think he's bonkers and hate the things MA has said (i.e. the flowers at Belvoir Dr), but I love the stuff he comes out with. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it's been a while since we've had an animated manager.
Daggers Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Welcoming the other team is something Rob Kelly specialized in, he took it to far at times though. ...but enough about fielding Hughes on the right wing...
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 “I'll have a pie at half-time and really just take it all in.†- MA on pre season games
samingram_uk Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Welcoming the other team is something Rob Kelly specialized in, he took it to far at times though. I think 'The Birch' does this too much before the game. I dont like it at all.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Still not entirely convinced, it'll take more than 13 signings and alot of cockney chat to convince me but it's different refreshing and I'm feeling alot more optomistic about our club than I have for a long while.
Head Honcho Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 I think 'The Birch' does this too much before the game. I dont like it at all. I'm surprised "The Birch" is still in a job. He doesn't seem like the kind of character MA would want around the place on match days.
Flynny Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 ...but enough about fielding Hughes on the right wing... ba-DUM-cheeeeeeee
Koke Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 At least now I can listen to the pre and post-match interviews.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 RE DJ Campbell's signing "This is a bigger club than the other one he's just come from, so this is a step up in my book, not a step down. Hahaha, that is funny.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 At least now I can listen to the pre and post-match interviews. Sorry, paying alot of attention to detail today, is that Andy Peter's in your sig?
Geo V Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 I know some of you think he's bonkers and hate the things MA has said (i.e. the flowers at Belvoir Dr), but I love the stuff he comes out with. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it's been a while since we've had an animated manager. There isn't anything not to like and hopefully there isn't too many who have already decided he is too charismatic or too much of a mouthy southerner to do a job for us.
