the_bowman Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 Any green day fans here? Just got Bullet in a Bible and International Superhits for my birthday and I've already got American Idiot Anyone else like em?
Sods Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 Old stuff yeah but they have past it now. They teamed up with U2 for gods sakes i mean who would do that.
the_bowman Posted 29 July 2007 Author Posted 29 July 2007 They're not that much old stuff I mean two years ago they performed to over 130,000 people in two days (yes I have been watching the DVD!) but i suppose they are 18 years old...

I meant to say their old stuff is good. But their never going to be that good again and i personally have not much interest in them at all anymore. It dosent matter how old the band is for when their at a gig, succesful and popular bands will always sell tickets.
Libertine Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Some of AI is good but you really should get Nimrod and Dookie at least.
General Smuts Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Nobody else will like it but i was always a fan of Warning but Dookie is the best album by far. In fact its one for the 2nd album better then the first thread in fact.
Libertine Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Dookie is their 3rd album. Technically. Warning is good I think too, my fave will always be Nimrod though.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Hate them, would rather have AIDS than listen to their music! Anyone like Idlewild?
The People's Hero Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Nimrod and Dookie were always the ones to listen to. When I was about 14. And Idlewild - yes - although I can never get through an entire album...
NFFC Chris Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Have three of their albums,Nimrod,Dookie and American Idiot.Let's just say the first two are a thousand times better than the latter and most recent album.Nearly like every single track on Dookie apart from the boring When I Come Around which seems to be played at least 10 times a day
Alexikokopops Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Hate them, would rather have AIDS than listen to their music!Anyone like Idlewild? Hope Is Important is an enjoyable album.
Dr The Singh Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 ANother shite band..........................................a dead K S Bhambra is more talented!!!
Finnegan Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Legend. One of the best live acts I've ever seen. Spent the entire gig shouting at the sound man to turn it up.
Daggers Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Spent the entire gig shouting at the sound man to turn it up.
Kent Fox Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Don't bother with the new album - it's a load of old stuff. Not very good old stuff. Not very good. BIAB - maybe one of the best live albums in the last 10 years
DB11 Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I wouldn't call myself a fan but I do have their Bullet in a Bible album. My favourite song of their's is 'American Idiot'
General Smuts Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 This will haunt my dreams!!! Who is that by the way?
Micky Ruddle Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 They are....Poor! Only saying that because it isn't my type of musique
Simon Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 I'm sure this has been said before but Nimrod is by far and away their best album IMO. Still listen to it on occasion. Dookie was pretty good as well, and Warning wasn't bad but not really into any of the rest of their stuff. Please tell me you'll get Nimrod, and then tell me which one you think is better. Surely there is no comparison?
Libertine Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Please tell me you'll get Nimrod, and then tell me which one you think is better. Surely there is no comparison? Exactly. Insomniac is a good album too btw.
Daggers Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 I quite enjoy Green Day now and then...up until that dumbass hook-up with Bonio.
