What the fu ck are you talking about?

ManPab is his own man! I would throw up my hands and freely admit that he knows far more about football and about the players in the English game and abroad than I do... so to suggest that one of the strongest willed and most knowledgable members of this forum merely takes his opinions from what I think is quite frankly not only ridiculous, but I imagine fairly insulting to Manwell Pablo.

It's laughable that you prefer to believe that this is all one big conspiracy led by me, the scheming Machiavellian protagonist with an inexplicable grudge against a LCFC player I've never seen play who has brainwashed the entire FT populous than just accept that perhaps - just perhaps - you are wrong.

I'd say very insulting.

I'm a bit suprised really as I actually go out of my my way to avoid trading insults with him in the fashion you do.

The post he's quoted is stupid as have alot of my posts over the past three months but it's pre season :dunno: I could go over and over my opinions on the new signings but that would be boring, theres no comeptitve football to discuss, the friendlies have seen it pick up a bit but it's still a bit crap. This forum has been dyer since the season ended and I'd say thats probabley why a high percentage of my posts have been stupid.

That's exactly what I would have told you to have posted.

Good lad.

That last bit really grates on you doesn't it. :D

But what am I wrong about?

Porter? The guy had a perfectly acceptable 30-game pre-season and was fairly high up in the fans player ratings. People are now suddenly dismissing him, presumably because he doesn't appear to feature highly in the manager's plans and they are always quick to believe next arrival represents greener grass. It doesn't. Porter remains a good player with many qualities that are similar to Wesolowski's.

Sheehan? Seeing the manager has picked him a bit, far more fans are suddenly deciding to like him, a bit. He was always a good attacker. He then had, let's say, his problems and has come back fighting and has put himself into consideration on the left flank. I'm pleased for him. He's got ability, can create goals and I hope he uses that ability and controls his inclination to be rash. My claim was that he was better than what we had as options to Nils and was our best attacking full-back. I stand by that.

Youth players in general? I believed they were good and in fact they proved to be the best team in the land. To a man every ex-Academy player who has broken through to the first team has done alright in the main and certainly not let the club down as some seniors have.

I've already tempered my championing of the latest emerging players because the situation has changed, the bar has been raised. Andy King, for instance, should have played in central midfield last season but I wouldn't say that now he's up against Clemence, Kishishev, Wesolowski and even Porter. I just hope he gets an intro because he still has things that they don't have.

Matt Fryatt? I wish it were otherwise but I cannot even make a case for him as justifying a place as first choice striker or as a likely 18-goals a season man.

Louis Dodds? Was never claimed to be a world beater - only better than some of the strikers we used last season. I stand by that. He was unjustly denied his chance at Leicester but I think he'll do fine at Lincoln.

Rob Kelly? I was tempted to agree with Babylon that I might have been premature in judging him in his first match cuptie but the leopard never changed his spots and I was proved right. He presidede over some of the wost football I'd ever seen.

Nigel Worthington? Yes I almost apologised for slating him after not seeing his first match cos he got the side fitter and won some important matches. But much of that was down to the fans rather than his inspiration and it was soon plain to see that he had no more imagination or conviction than Kelly. Well pleased to see the back of him.

Logan? I said I'd seen no reason Nielsen should be chosen ahead of him and that remains the case. In fact he looks stronger and more assured this year. And Henderson rates virtually alongside him.

Elvis? The bloke made a perfectly reasonable contribution to our cause last season and invariably deserved a team place ahead of Fryatt/Horsfield/Cadamarteri. He'll move now, without doubt, again because the bar's higher. But I think the fans attitude to him was totally unjustified.

Goals? I said we wouldn't score enough goals in 2006/2007 cos we didn't play enough people capable of scoring/making goals and that proved the case.

Kisnorbo? I said he couldn't pass and nothing has made me change that view, more's the pity.

Attacking full-backs? We never played two as we needed to and it seems significant that MA seems determined to address that straight away.

Horsfield? I said he never deserved to wear the shirt and so it proved.

I would emphasise that lots of fans - particularly those who watch the young players regularly as well as the seniors - would concur with a reasonable percentage of those views so mine are not by any means unusual nor are they of any special merit. Indeed, in the main they seem obvious.

So that's why he's not been replying to any other posts for the last half an hour! :D :D

I'm not even going to read it.

I've got a horrible feeling there will be a bit about Elvis Hammond having had a good season last time around... or something similar which will make my blood boil.

How come dodds never got a chance but O grady and Hammond did? Kelly trying to prove himself wrong I think it was, he said he was the best finisher at the club, and proved himself wrong by not playing Dodds. That's it.

Louis Dodds hits all-time low when the Mods on Foxestalk demote him to General Chat lol lol lol:thumbup:

Relegated before the season starts - it doesn't auger well!

Anyway, back on topic.

Didn't the Pied Piper kidnap all of Hamelin's kids because the people wouldn't pay him for ridding them of rats?

What a bastard.

There really is a lot of stigma attached to the Pied Piper name.
