Yeah it was a good night, Allen managed to make it interesting and fun for the crowd that were there. Some of his answers in the Q & A were great

As usual you got the expected dim-witted questions e.g. "How much will you give the manager to spend Milan in January if we're in the top 6".

I hate it when Milan gets asked questions that show that half of the supporters see him as nothing more than a walking cashpoint. He seems to have busted a gut since he got here and it embarrasses me somewhat when every 2nd question is "how much money are you giving us!?".

MY OWN interpretation of the answers:

• Are we going to get some more left sided players? I've looked long and hard at videos/training etc...yes this needs/will be addressed
  
• Are we spending money if we go up? Speaks for itself really. 'Course we bloody will. 10 press-ups for stupid question
  
• Will we spend more ££ if near top at Xmas? Possibly. if there's a good chance we can go up, then MA & MM will look to see where we need strengthening.
  
• Are we getting 3 more players? To me, this sounded more like 2 . If we can manage to tempt a 3rd, then great. I think 2 though.
  
• Did we try for Fowler? Yes. But he's a gready coont.
  
• Can we, the fans, do anything (i.e. the 12th man)? No. MA won't beg for fans to cheer. The players will perform well and we'll cheer anyway. (Good answer!)
  
• Are we leaving a couple of players up front when defending from set pieces this year? Depends who we're playing! Said 37 % of goals are scored from set pieces. We (MA) doesn't want to be on the receiving end of this 37%

The comment i most particularly liked was when asked about missing out on signings, MA replied...."we have not missed out on them, they have missed out on us!"

Stearman is called Rodney from Only Fools And Horses, and Joe Mattock was called Harry Potter and that he should go home and do his homework, and read the new harry potter book!

That "missed out" quote probably drew the best applause of the evening but I also liked it when Birch put the question to MM "Who would you buy if you had £10m" and MM quickly raised his eyes and replied: "If!"

While I thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and the company I didn't think the question/answer had the spontaniety of the North Kilworth evening.

There the questions came straight from the floor and were quite tasty at times.

This evening's were all written questions which were sifted first and, as a result, seemed fairly tame.

I liked the way MA once again drew attention to the work done by groundstaff and other employees as well as his immediate team of assistants, emphasising his all-encompassing team ethic.

Overall an interesting and good humoured night out.
