Blue Bob Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I know we have a team, but I still don’t know what the dream is? I thought the dream was the premiership??
Master Fox Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 To play beautiful attractive football...win loads and loads of games(prefferably 3-0) get promotion(automatically obviously!) shock the footballing World by finishing in the last place for Europe and then conquer the World!!!Thats the fcucking dream..... Oh! Quite obtainable then?
Graz Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I know we have a team, but I still don’t know what the dream is? I'm paraphrasing, but I think the official club line was something along the lines of... MA has a dream that one day this club will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, except Elvis who we admit is just shite." MA has a dream that one day in the blue stands of the Kop, the WAGs of current players and the sons of former Fox Leisure tracksuit owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. MA has a dream that one day even the Championship, a league sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice when Leicester City are crowned Champions MA has a dream that his 16 little children will one day play in a stadium where they will not be judged by the color of their boots but by the content of their character. MA had a dream today.
Dames Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Was quite a good night. The questions that people come up with are so repetitive and boring. 'Milan who we going to sign?' 'Martin who are your top targets?' 'Martin why hasn't Louis Dodds been picked yet ?'
Bluefoxtim Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Thought the night was excellent and well worth going. I thought the training session might be a bore but was lightened up by MA's commentary! De Vries scored about 20!
Flynny Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Superb. I'm optimistic as fook, now, and even if we don't do really great this season is going to be massively entertaining.
Graz Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 For those who went, what the hell is a "6-and-a-half-a-side" game? Did they have 6 players each, plus Levi on one team and Kaebi on the other?
Flynny Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 For those who went, what the hell is a "6-and-a-half-a-side" game?Did they have 6 players each, plus Levi on one team and Kaebi on the other? DJ Campbell was a floating player. He was on the side of whoever passed him the ball. Suprisingly it actually worked.
Daggers Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Is anyone going to say anything about the Q&A session or what?
lildave3 Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Just back, have to say I enjoyed the training more than the questions sesh, mainly because the questions were shit. Hume and De Vries were looking good in training, DJ showed glimpses aswell.
Raj Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I don't think any one has asked but were there many people present and what stand(s) did they open?
Daggers Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 ... mainly because the questions were shit. Oh dear - as bad as the ones put to Mandy before...or worse?
Toby or not Toby Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 The comment i most particularly liked was when asked about missing out on signings, MA replied...."we have not missed out on them, they have missed out on us!" Stearmans is called Rodney from Only Fools And Horses, and Joe Mattock was called Harry Potter and that he should go home and do his homework, and read the new harry potter book!
Flynny Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 All in the West Stand. Attendance could have been anywhere from 2-4 thousand, I'm not too great at estimating. As far as I know it holds 8k and it was slightly under half-full.
lildave3 Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I don't think any one has asked but were there many people present and what stand(s) did they open? Only the west stand was open, and i'd say 2/3's full maybe? About that anyway.
He's not bald Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 They got to ball rolled across, about 10 yards about, and 75% of the time they missed. The crossing wasn't always great but you'd expect these players to score. It got better as they went on though, Chambers and Mattock put some good balls across. The whole team wasn't there. It was:Logan, Henderson, Chambers, Stearman, Weso, McAuley, Mattock, Clemence, Kishishev, Hume, De Vries and N'gotty. Probably missed someone out though. The others are in the squad for tomorrow night. My mistake then...Saturday was 100%
Raj Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Only the west stand was open, and i'd say 2/3's full maybe? About that anyway. Not too bad i suppose. All goes to help that club/fan atmosphere get better.

brookfox Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Logan, Henderson, Chambers, Stearman, Weso, McAuley, Mattock, Clemence, Kishishev, Hume, De Vries and N'gotty. It's taken a bit of head scratching but you've missed out DJ Campbell! Good night overall. Training session was interesting, we've got bout 7 coaches / physios / sorts scientists etc. Allen for his part only says positive things - "Good ball", "Excellent finish" etc. I imagine he breeds confidence in his players which is a good thing. There's just something about him that makes you want it to workout for him. He's clearly his own man but isn't afraid to take feedback as he demonstrated when talking about Alistair Smith. Q&A was on the whole a bit dull. I know there's certain questions they can't ask but Milan (God love him for what he's done for us!) gives a media friendly reply to any question! Oh and it's Kishishev's birthday.
