Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 How to spend £25million-odd and get relegated. In my opinion.
The People's Hero Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Just off the relegation places. I'd love to see Man City struggle. Love it.
Flynny Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 For some reason I'd like to see Sven do well. I always felt a bit sorry for him. He did no worse than most England managers, the football was just a bit... uhh... dry? I'd rather have him than McClaren, anyway. Sven played poor quality, defensive football but won, McClaren just has no idea what the fuck he's doing.

kidder_wolf Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I think Fulham will struggle. They are my tip to be relegated along with Wigan and Derby
dandannieldanok Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Have they really spent that much? It doesn't show when you look at their squad list.

Simi Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Wigan Derby Boro I hope they all go down, don't really like any of them. Fulham will be around 12/14th I feel, not convinced by Sanchez though.

Tommeh Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Sven was made a scape goat because he wasn't English. No he wasn't, it was because he inherreted possibly our best squad in a while and had a good chance of brining success to our national game and all he did was achieve 2 bleeding Quater finals, take the FA for every penny they had and dipped it in the fecking secutary. Arsehole I say.
Flynny Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 WiganDerby Boro My thoughts exactly. Probably Derby 20th, Wigan 19th and Boro 18th. More wishful thinking than anything, though.

breadandcheese Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Not sure why people are tipping Boro for the drop. Attacking wise they're not going to set the division alight but defensively, they're fairly solid. Woodgate, Huth, Riggott some solid centrebacks. Decent keeper, signed Young at right-back. I think they'll survive and possibly reach mid-table security.

I don't rate Aliadiere in the slightest and Tuncay could go either way.
Brainy Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Might be harsh but i'm tipping Bolton to go down. Theres always one shock.

Father Ted Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Fulham 18th. Don't you mean?---> Northern Ireland 18th.
Geo V Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Fulham will be one of the surprise outfits this season. I think they`ll have something different to most as they have largely bought British and Championship players, similarly to what MON did for us a few years ago now. I have a great dislike for Sanchez since the Wycombe game basically but I have a feeling he has made some good signings in players like Kamara, Baird, Healy, Davis and Bouazza and they`ll do well, especially as they already had capable players like Niemi, Volz, Davies, Rosenior and Diop. I`ll guess they`ll finish about 12-14th but comfortably away from the relegation places.
Monk Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I really dont think Fulham will do well this season. Theyve had it coming to them for a while now... and if they do stay up, it will only be because of other teams doing badly. I think Boro & Wigan have had it too for the same reason. Oh, and I reaaaallly hope Derby go down with a miserable points total. Thats 4, but so long as Derby are one of the 3 I dont mind
dandannieldanok Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 If Liverpool had played a full strength team at the Cottage last season this would have been a discussion about their promotion hopes, I think they'll struggle, especially under Sanchez.
Mort Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Nothing in Sanchez's time managing them at the tail end of last season or their signings over the summer have convinced me they'll be involved in anything other than a relegation fight, although i think thier better equiped to deal with it than the likes of Derby, however they'll be in the mix, along with Wigan, Brum, Sunderland, probably Boro and maybe a Bolton team that's a little unsteady with the departure of "Big Sam"... I'm also not convinced that WestHam are going to improve dramatically this season, despite the money theyv'e spent.
