He's not bald Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 It seems to be taking on a slightly surreal bent now. Marcus brother?
inmemoryofdoreen Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 don't get me wrong i'd love to see danny murphy and jimmy turn out in the blue of leicester but normally these things leak out and appear somewhere!guess i just wanna see it before i believe it.. i`d feel better about it if there was a link to something substantial as well but at the minute we have to trust the source and hope they are telling the truth, its generated some more excitement on the eve of the season though. i hope its true for murphy more than jfh as i think his best years are behind him now
He's not bald Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 if they sign today then for pr reasons they will keep it quiet til tommorrow then introduce them on the pitch and have a press conference either after the game or first thing on monday.keep the faith people too many respected regular posters have their reputations on the line if this turns out to be bs Bullshine...If it was true we would know by now that they were going to be introduced tomorrow...football is all about "bums on seats" and that news would have sold out the Walkers for sure!
BartonFox Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Bullshine...If it was true we would know by now that they were going to be introduced tomorrow...football is all about "bums on seats" and that news would have sold out the Walkers for sure! Not to piss on your bonfire but Danny Murphy and JFH are not going to get the ignorant Leicester City footballing public flocking to the Walkers.
Matt Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 all i'm going to say is this..nothing on skysports.com nothing on offical site nothing in any of the papers not gonna happen! Yet when there are links on the net and rumours in the papers people dismiss it as untrue anyway... Although I do agree I doubt any of this will happen, I am excited about it and I have alot of hope, and also there are a few certain posters on TB who are quite good with there tip offs, which is what makes me want to beleive this!
DB11 Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 **** me 15 pages in a few hours. I hope this is correct because it would, without a doubt, make us a force not to be reckoned with. Then again, if this isn't true I'll be so upset
inmemoryofdoreen Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Bullshine...If it was true we would know by now that they were going to be introduced tomorrow...football is all about "bums on seats" and that news would have sold out the Walkers for sure! with all due respect i think it won`t be far off a full house anyway, new boss , new players , new era and all that, and to be honest i don`t know if i want the extra fair weather fans down there who have only bought a ticket so see a couple of big name players paraded, i would have thought that enough had happened this summer to warrant anybody who really wanted to go to have bought a ticket anyway.
DB11 Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Dunno if it's been posted, but I aint checking 15 pages http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Floyd_Hasselbaink signed a new playing contract for Leicester City F.C. on 10th August 2007.
boldy147 Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 1) How do you know2) Link from TB? i heard it from a reliable source at Topps tiles that hasselbaink had signed UP THE CITY
Bluefoxtim Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Dunno if it's been posted, but I aint checking 15 pages http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Floyd_Hasselbaink Yes, yes it has. Numerous times in fact
dandannieldanok Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 i heard it from a reliable source at Topps tiles that hasselbaink had signed Why would Topps Tiles know about this, they are only the shirt sponsor, they don't really need to have a physical presence in the club.
Rocky Dennis Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Surely this is all bollox??? I think Milan and Martin would have better things to be doing just before the big kick off. If these two players were available to us then i think we'd have signed them before now. Would love it to be true but cant see it, this rumour is up there with Cruyff,Molby,Chapman etc.. ie bollox!
dandannieldanok Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 I think Milan and Martin would have better things to be doing just before the big kick off. If there is any shred of truth in this I doubt MA would have been directly involved in the negotiations.
Daggers Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 I'm not looking at Wikipedia anymore...the last time I did it turned me gay and gave me an attractive anus. This kind of stuff is damn hard to explain to the wife.
boldy147 Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Why would Topps Tiles know about this, they are only the shirt sponsor, they don't really need to have a physical presence in the club. by putting up a seven figure plus figure for the sponsorship they obviously would get their little perks and maybe hearing any news first could be one of them
toonfox Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Well I don't think wikipedia would lie they no everything..... you want to no anything about a person n they have all the ins and out !!! Come on the city!!
Brainy Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Who do you tell first once a player agrees to a contract? Wikipedia?
FleckneyFox Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Yeah but wikipedia can easily be edited by anyone someone from FT/TB could easily have put that on there
Rocky Dennis Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 If there is any shred of truth in this I doubt MA would have been directly involved in the negotiations. I agree, got one or two other things to concentrate on i imagine! When i hear about meetings in hotels i start doubting the rumour, the next thing will be they're buying houses in Oadby, spotted in Tesco's!!!

Chelve84 Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 why have Wikipedia got him down as joining us today?
Milky Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 why have Wikipedia got him down as joining us today? ...because anyone can alter what it says on Wikipedia.
