Thracian Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 Yes not seen him for ages due to injury, no reserve games and not being able to get down. Like you I hope he plays tonight. He only had cameos pre-season but against Quorn looked fit, sharp and almost back to his best.
Thracian Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 McKay will turn out to be the best of the bunch IMO. If I was going to post incredibly long threads about one Academy player, it would be him. I don't need convincing but he seems to be trailing behind Odhiambo in the manager's eyes. Ric Flair Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 I don't need convincing but he seems to be trailing behind Odhiambo in the manager's eyes. Due to his pre-season goal. McKay has plenty of time to impress, hopefully starting tonight.

Granno Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 No Kaebi tonight. I'm worrying a little. I think he's still awaiting his international clearance papers to be completed.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 As an aside, the club are panicking at the moment because they think they haven't got any decent 15/16's. Doesn't sound very promising. A couple of seasons ago there was a lack of quality in the under 18s age group so they brought in players from other clubs to improve the standard didn't they? They'll probably do the same thing again next season when the under 18s is short of the required standard again. I don't know about all of them but a fair few of the team that did so well last season were brought in when they were 16 from elsewhere.

Bryn Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 Team for the reserve match against Forest tonight. Nielsen Maybury Stearman Rowe-Turner MattockHellings King PorterOdhiambo Fryatt Sappleton Subs; Cisak, McKay, Magunda, Beswick, Garner. Formation is assumed but the side is the actual side. I forsee Maybury having a decent game and being retained as backup (for the backup)
Flynny Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 Team for the reserve match against Forest tonight. Nielsen Maybury Stearman Rowe-Turner MattockHellings King PorterOdhiambo Fryatt Sappleton Subs; Cisak, McKay, Magunda, Beswick, Garner. Formation is assumed but the side is the actual side. Hopefully it IS that, and Fryatt isn't on the left again.
Bryn Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 Well I figure in Hellings and Porter there's already two left sided players in that midfield so surely playing Fryatt in midfield would be hugely redundant.

Eastern Fox Posted 20 August 2007 Share Posted 20 August 2007 Shame Kaebi isn't included. Obviously not going to make the first team for a while. Hopefully people like Stearman and Fryatt will get something out this game-they need to pull their socks up if they're going to make the first team squad.
